Today, our little explorers stepped outside the therapy centre and into a piece of Malaysia’s history. 🇲🇾

Through stories, exhibits and hands-on exploration, they got to learn more about the role of the police and the people who work to keep our community safe.

Because for our little ones, learning about Merdeka isn’t just about remembering history, it’s about seeing, experiencing and understanding it. ❤️

This Merdeka, our little explorers are stepping outside the therapy centre to discover a part of Malaysia’s history and get to know the people who have been working to keep our country safe. 🇲🇾

From learning about the role of the police to discovering stories from the past, every experience is a chance for our children to learn, explore and appreciate the people who serve our community.

“Okay, we’re going home!”

And suddenly… the playground meltdown begins. 😮‍💨

For some children, moving from one activity to another can be genuinely difficult. Stopping something they enjoy means having to shift their attention, process a change and prepare for what comes next.

Instead of waiting until the last minute, try making the transition more predictable:

⏰ Give a warning: “5 more minutes, then we go.”
👣 Tell them what happens next: “After this, we’re going to the car.”
🧸 Give them a little job: “Can you help me put this away?”
💙 Acknowledge their feelings: “I know you want to keep playing. It’s hard to stop when you’re having fun.”

And if your child still struggles, remember:

A difficult transition doesn’t automatically mean they’re being stubborn or naughty.

Sometimes, they simply need more support to stop, shift and move on.
