The Malaysian Universities Economic Conference (MUEC) is a prestigious national-level competition that challenges students to analyse contemporary economic issues and propose innovative, impactful solutions. This year's theme centred on digitalisation and the role of technology in empowering local communities and driving sustainable development.

Representing Sunway University, the team developed a compelling video project showcasing the digitalisation potential of Kuala Selangor. The competition attracted more than 70 teams from universities across the country, with only the Top 6 teams advancing to the final physical pitching round. Following an intense and highly competitive presentation session, the team successfully secured the Champion title, demonstrating exceptional strategic thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities.

Congratulations to Our Champions – Intervarsity Corporate Strategy Challenge (ICSC 2026)!

Sunway University and Sunway College is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of our students, who emerged as Champion at the Intervarsity Corporate Strategy Challenge (ICSC 2026), hosted by the University Malaya Accounting Club (UMAC) and supported by EY.

The competition challenged participants to think and perform like CEOs, tackling a new business case each day under intense time pressure. With only 1 hour and 15 minutes to analyse the problem, develop solutions, prepare presentation slides, and deliver a compelling 10-minute presentation, teams were tested on their strategic thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.

Throughout the challenge, participants addressed complex business issues ranging from strengthening global supply chains and developing innovative marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, to exploring business transformation opportunities within the fintech landscape. Each case demanded critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to formulate practical solutions under pressure.

This outstanding achievement reflects not only the team's strategic capabilities and resilience but also the strong culture of excellence, collaboration, and industry relevance fostered within the Sunway Education ecosystem.

An inspiring milestone in academic and professional excellence.

Parvitha Ramesh Rao, a final year Accounting and Finance student at Sunway Business School, Sunway University, has successfully completed and passed her CIMA Professional exam paper, earning 15 out of 16 exemptions through the A Star Fast Track Route while completing her degree programme.
