Sunway Business School’s Embassy Series recently brought students to the Embassy of the State of Libya in Malaysia for an inspiring and insightful engagement on diplomacy, international relations and global leadership.

We were deeply honoured to meet His Excellency Mohamed A. M. Attia, Ambassador of the State of Libya to Malaysia, who shared valuable perspectives on the diplomatic profession, the qualities required to become a diplomat, and the importance of knowledge, communication skills and global awareness in shaping future leaders.

His Excellency also highlighted the shared values between Malaysia and Libya, including hospitality, strong community ties and a commitment to education, which serve as a meaningful foundation for deeper cooperation and mutual understanding between both nations.

Students were encouraged to build strong networks, embrace lifelong learning and acquire additional languages to enhance their ability to engage confidently in an increasingly interconnected world. The interactive dialogue provided valuable exposure to diplomacy, international engagement and career opportunities in global affairs.

Our sincere appreciation to His Excellency Mohamed A. M. Attia, Dr Aiman Elmahmodi, Ms Nor Atiqah Zali and Ms Yang Arnieda Azaman for their warm hospitality and support in making this meaningful visit possible.

We look forward to strengthening future collaborations with the Embassy of the State of Libya in Malaysia and creating more opportunities for our students to connect with global leaders and broaden their international perspectives.

🌙 Remembering a Legacy That Inspires Humanity

Maulidur Rasul marks the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, inviting us to reflect on his remarkable life and the values he exemplified throughout his journey.

The tradition of Mawlid emerged within Muslim communities as a way to remember and honour the Prophet’s life, character and teachings. Today, it remains an occasion for reflection, gratitude and renewal of the values that connect us as human beings.

The Qur’an describes the Prophet Muhammad as:

“And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds.”
Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:107

At Sunway Business School, we are inspired to lead not only with knowledge and ambition, but also with compassion, integrity and purpose.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Maulidur Rasul 1448H.
