Sustainability is strengthened when education and research connect with practical solutions that support communities, industries and the environment. For QI Group, this reflects our continued commitment to advancing sustainability through quality education, responsible innovation and meaningful industry collaboration.​

​Quest International University(QIU), QI Group’s education arm, recently partnered with UniOleo Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian waste-tyre recycling and recycled materials company, and Lee Flower Farm Sdn Bhd, a Cameron Highlands-based floriculture business experienced in flower cultivation and export. ​

​These collaborations will support research in sustainable recycling technologies, environmental solutions and innovative agricultural practices, while giving students valuable exposure to applied research and industry needs.​

​By connecting learning with practical experience, QIU is helping students develop the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to a more sustainable future.​

These were among the topics explored during the QI Group × Control Union Malaysia Circular Economy & Zero Waste to Landfill Workshop.​

Employees gained practical insights into responsible waste management, effective waste segregation and recycling best practices, from understanding what happens to recyclable materials after collection to exploring how circular economy principles can support more sustainable operations.​

​As part of QI Group’s broader ESG agenda, the workshop reinforced the importance of turning awareness into action. By making more conscious choices in our day-to-day work, each of us can play a part in advancing responsible consumption and better waste practices across the organisation.​

Football is more than a game. It is a reminder that great teams are built on trust, collaboration and a shared sense of purpose.​

​Our Malaysia HR and Finance teams recently brought that spirit to life with a World Cup-themed hi-tea, bringing the excitement of the world's biggest football tournament into the workplace through team colours, friendly competition and plenty of team spirit.​

​Colleagues proudly supported their favourite teams, took part in fun games, and connected over good food, laughter and shared moments.​

The afternoon was a chance to unwind after a busy week, strengthen relationships, and create new memories together.​

Clean drinking water is essential for community well-being​

​QNET Malaysia recently launched its Clean Water Campaign with the donation of four HomePure Nova water filtration systems to four families in Petaling Jaya, marking the start of a broader initiative to raise awareness of water quality, healthy hydration and community well-being. ​

​Held at QI Tower, the presentation ceremony brought together Selangor
State Legislative Assembly Member (ADUN) for Bukit Gasing, YB Rajiv Rishyakaran, Jean Francois Huertas, Deputy Chairman of QNET, community representatives, beneficiary families and local leaders, demonstrating a shared commitment to raising awareness of water quality and supporting community well-being.​

Education is a vital means of helping students understand the communities they are preparing to serve. QI Group shares that vision in line with the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development Goals for inclusive education, creating an environment for students to thrive and give back to their communities. ​

​Quest International University, our educational arm, recently partnered with Ray Of Hope Ipoh, a non-profit organisation based in Malaysia, where students pursuing Special Needs Education took part in basketball-themed activities alongside individuals with learning disabilities, creating a space for interaction and meaningful engagement.​

​This experience gave students a practical environment to build key communication skills and instil empathy beyond the classroom. It also underscores QI Group's broader goals of advancing education and cultivating students who will create a positive impact in the world.​

​The event also featured a meaningful plant sale by the Pre-Voc students of Taarana School, an initiative of RYTHM Foundation, showcasing how sustainability and inclusion can grow hand in hand. ​
