Isaiah 48:10
God is forming you
In a world that celebrates visibility, speed, and recognition, it is easy to desire the stage before we embrace the shaping. But in God’s Kingdom, the process always comes before the platform.
God is not in a hurry to display us, He is patient to develop us.
Before David wore the crown, he tended sheep in obscurity.
Before Joseph stood in the palace, he walked through the pit and the prison.
Before Jesus began His ministry, He was tested in the wilderness. God uses hidden seasons to purify motives, strengthen faith, and shape character.
Before you can walk the highway of success, you need to cross the busy streets of preparation, discipline, hardship, trials, and perseverance.
Before I can begin to enjoy the success as an author, I had to toil under the sun as a young laborer, climbed out of my comfort zone and enlarged my thoughts with two simple word, “I can!”
Many wanted a platform but God wanted a process, only then, what we become in secret will sustain us in public.
Power without purity produces pride, but power that flows from a purified heart releases true transformation.
God is not only interested in what we do, He is deeply concerned with who we are becoming.
The process God desires for us is not comfort, but character.
It is to thrive under pressure, to remain determined when we are hardest hit, and to cling to Jesus when we no longer have the strength to even, hold on to the dream.
This process is called refinement, where gold must pass through fire, and the soul must endure trials, to emerge pure, strong, and radiant for God’s glory.
Until this work is complete, we are like something made of plastic, attractive on the outside, yet easily broken by the smallest test.
So, take heart, when you are going through this process, you are not forgotten, you are being formed.
Here is the proof of God’s refining work: Isaiah 48:10 “See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.”
God doesn’t refine us lightly. Like gold or silver purified in fire, He tests us through trials, not to harm us, but to purify, strengthen, and prepare us for His glory.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your refining hand.
Help me to trust Your process, endure the trials,
and emerge pure, strong, and radiant for Your glory.
Shape my heart, strengthen my faith, and keep me close to You. Amen.
