It is quite common these days to see plenty of high school graduates who are still undecided about which career path to pursue. During the last Sunway Open Day, CPA, together with Career Services, provided free career assessments and consultations to more than 60 students.

We sincerely hope that we were able to help them narrow down their career choices, finding the ones most suited to their personalities, and offering guidance to all of them as potential future Sunway students. We hope to see you soon, future juniors of Sunway.

Taking a step towards hope and understanding! 🌟🤝 On July 28th, we participated in a transformative Mental Health Awareness and Su***de Prevention Training by Ms Chloe Wong Kah Yee, Senior Counsellor of Counselling & AMP, Wellness Unit, Student LIFE. Grateful for the tools gained to lend a helping hand to our peers struggling with their mental health. On 24th of July, we held a workshop for 45 AUSMAT students where we guide them through crafting a standout resume and mastering the world’s largest professional network platform, LinkedIn 🙌🏻

The students gain insider tips on highlighting important skills, accomplishment and qualities in resume. On top of that few tips on building a powerful online presence that attracts recruiters and industry leaders alike.

These are essentials for your career-building that will help students in navigating the competitive job market with confidence 💫.

On 20th July, we successfully organized a resume and cover letter workshop with our aspiring culinary enthusiasts from Le Cordon Bleu. The participants were Intermediate and Superior level students from the bakery, pastry, and culinary program! ✨🍽️

During the workshop, we spiced things up by delivering the key ingredients for a winning resume and uncovering unique strategies to create impactful cover letters that leave a lasting impression. ✍️📝

But that's just the appetizer! The real excitement kicked in when Ms.Farah and our dedicated CPA members served a whirlwind of invaluable tips and tricks to elevate resume writing and LinkedIn crafting skills to an entirely new level! 🔥

On the 11th July, we had an insightful benchmarking visit by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) to Sunway University. The visit was aimed to foster knowledge exchange on best practices and common challenges related to Graduate Employability (GE), Alumni Engagement, and International Office Management together with Sunway Career Services, Sunway Alumni Initiative, and Sunway International Office. 🤩✨

CPA were invited by the Sunway Career Services staff to further assist in the engaging Q&A and sharing session. In attendance were the President of CPA, Rathi and two dedicated members from the IOS department, Jia Chee and Angel. Together, we were ready to make a meaningful impact! 🤝🏻💫

The UTP staff posed a few critically important questions to Rathi, delving into the heart of enhancing student and peer interaction within the field of career services. 🔥

Aside from that, this session also served as a vibrant networking opportunity, allowing our CPA members to forge connections with the UTP staff, sharing insights and developments in the ever-evolving field of career services. 🌟

On 15th May 2023, we successfully hosted an incredible AUSMAT Mock Interview Workshop , where participants immersed themselves in a learning experience and honed their interview skills.

During the workshop, our presenter, Ms Farah shared fascinating insights from mastering body language to sharing invaluable tips and strategies that can help the students navigate any interview with ease 🙌🏼
