It was never about the promoter. It was about the system.

Here is the parallel timeline:

🎲 The "Left to Chance" Promoter:
Shows up unbriefed β†’ Recites the product name β†’ Loses energy mid-shift β†’ Hands out a sample.

πŸ† The "Built on System" Promoter:
Briefed & matched β†’ Opens with the brand story β†’ Coached in real-time β†’ Closes the sale.

The people are the same. The booth is the same. The product is the same.

But one path leads to a wasted sample, and the other leads to revenue.

The difference? Strategy and infrastructure.

The promoter didn’t change. The system did.

If you’re tired of inconsistent results from your field teams, this is the conversation you need to have.

Stay tunedβ€”a new series on how to build that exact system starts soon. πŸš€

Ever booked promoters for an activation and felt like... something was off? πŸ€”

Here's the truth: all agencies pull from a similar pool of promoters. So if your results aren't matching your expectations, it's usually not the people β€” it's what's happening (or not happening) behind the scenes.

The 3 most common culprits:
1️⃣ Counting samples instead of actual sales
2️⃣ Promoters who know the product but not the brand
3️⃣ Agencies treating "more promoters" as the whole strategy

We're kicking off a series breaking all of this down β€” starting today with the overview, then diving deep into each mistake over the next few weeks.

Follow along, and drop a comment if you've run into any of these before! πŸ‘‡

Our Scotch-Brite 3M "For Every Dish" roadshow just wrapped across malls and supermarkets nationwide β€” and what a run it's been!

This was never just about games and free gifts (though everyone loved those too πŸ˜„). Every booth was a chance for us to walk shoppers through the real difference between Easy Clean and Tough Clean, and help them pick the right one for their kitchen.

Big crowds, real conversations, real sales:
πŸ† 955 packets sold
🧼 91 mop units sold
πŸ“ Top stores: Lotus Tebrau City, Aeon Tebrau City & Sunshine Central Penang led the charts

Thank you to every store, every shopper, and every team on the ground who made this happen. This is what sales activation looks like when it's done right πŸ’ͺ

Can your promoters explain why your brand matters β€” or just what it costs? πŸ€”

There's a big difference between a promoter who knows the product and one who understands the brand. One recites facts. The other actually connects with people.

This week: Mistake #2 in our series β€” why basic product training isn't enough, and what it actually takes to build a promoter into a real brand ambassador.

Check out the graphic for the full breakdown πŸ‘‡

Handing out 10,000 samples feels like a win.

But if nothing happens after the hand-off, you didn't run a sales activation β€” you ran an awareness exercise.

Sampling counts tell you reach. They don't tell you impact.

Real conversion looks like:
β†’ A purchase at point of sale
β†’ A sign-up, download, or trial redemption
β†’ A store visit you can actually trace back to the activation

At BITC, we train promoters on the ask, not just the hand-off β€” and we track what happens after the sample, not just how many went out.

Part 3 of 7. Next week: why knowing the product isn't the same as knowing the brand.

What's the one metric you wish every activation report actually included?

Throwback to Ayamas Meals On Wheels Roadshow 2024 πŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸšš

What a journey it was!

From universities and office blocks to wet markets, MRT stations, and major events with Jom Heboh! we travelled across Malaysia to bring the Ayamas experience closer to the community.

Along the way, we connected with customers through product selling, sampling activities, ready-to-eat experiences, and exciting gift-with-purchase campaigns.

A memorable roadshow filled with challenges, laughter, teamwork, and great moments.

Big appreciation to the amazing team behind this journey β€” everyone played a part in making it a success. ❀️

Never venture, never win. πŸ”₯

Our 3M Scotch-Brite Roadshow at Family Store Alor Gajah came with a challenge β€” a more price-conscious market where expectations were cautious.

Instead of backing down, we adapted. After analysing Day 1, we refined our approach, introduced a **Happy Hour promotion** to create urgency, and focused on building genuine connections with customers.

The result:
🧹 60x Rayon Mop sold
🧹 9x Latex Mop sold
🧹 12x Hands Free Mop sold

Most importantly, we moved premium products that even the outlet did not expect to perform at this location.

A great reminder that with the right strategy, passion, and team effort, every market has potential. πŸ’ͺ
