Mr. Mohamad Muzaffar Abdul Hamid (MPC) addressed the need to nudge future generations toward Work Integrated Learning, using behavioural approaches to align education with labour market demands.

Ms. Alex Galassi (NSW Government, Australia) introduced sludge audits—a behavioural tool to improve service delivery and cut bureaucratic inefficiencies for better public sector outcomes.

Ms. Claudia da Costa Martinelli Wehbe (Brazil) offered global perspective on addressing 21st-century policy challenges in non-WEIRD countries, focusing on digital transformation and inclusive innovation.

Closing the session, Datuk Dr. Suhana Md. Saleh (Ministry of Economy) emphasised the role of productivity in national policy reforms under the upcoming Thirteenth Malaysia Plan, calling for agile, innovation-led strategies to meet global and local economic demands.

The conversation on behavioural insights deepened with Keynote Address by Mr. Faisal Naru, Director of Think.Test.Do, exploring how Good Regulatory Practice (GRP) supports better governance through transparency, evidence-based policymaking, and behavioural strategies to overcome regulatory challenges.

This was followed by two insightful Paper Presentations:
Mr. Mohamad Izahar bin Mohamad Izham shared Malaysia’s progress in embedding GRP into governance, highlighting how Behavioural Insights can enhance the effectiveness and responsiveness of regulation.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Deputy Minister from Saudi Arabia, presented transformative approaches to labour market reform, emphasising the link between productivity, skills development, and future-ready workforce strategies.

Together, these sessions underscore the critical role of policy innovation and behavioural thinking in driving sustainable productivity.
