Harimau Kendo Club Our kendo classes for both adults and kids are taught by FIK certified qualified instructors.

Harimau Kendo Club Dojo address:

Selangor. Training days and times as below:
WEDNESDAY
5:00pm - 6:30pm (Kids/Beginners and Seniors Kata)
6:30pm-8:00pm (Bogu)

FRIDAY
7:00pm-9:30pm ( Bogu)

SATURDAY
1:00pm-3:00pm ( Bogu)

SUNDAY
8:30am-9:30am ( Beginners/

Kids/Basics)
9:30am-10:00am (Kata)
10:00am- 12:00pm (Bogu)

Training fees as below (excluding SST) :
ADULTS
RM$100.00/month ( Tropicana Members)
RM$120.00/month ( Non Tropicana Members)

KIDS
RM$80.00/month ( Tropicana Members)

We were honoured to welcome Toru Kamei Sensei 🇯🇵 , 8th Dan, Oliver Ng Sensei from 🇸🇬 & Huang Sensei from 🇨🇳 to our dojo today.

Thank you, Sensei, for taking the time to visit us, share your valuable advice and insights with our members.

Kendo may look like an individual journey.

We step onto the floor alone.
We face our own fears, frustrations, and limitations.

But we never truly grow alone.

There is always someone beside us —

a teacher who guides,
a senior who encourages,
a training partner who challenges us,
a friend who reminds us to keep going.

Sometimes, all it takes is a few words of encouragement.
Sometimes, simply knowing that someone believes in us is enough.

This is what makes a dojo more than a place to practise.

We train together.
We learn from one another.
We grow together.

And somewhere along the way,
we become a community.

A new chapter for one of our own. 🥋

We’re happy to see our HKC member, Tan Pengji, bringing his passion for kendo back to his hometown of Kluang and starting Kluang Kendo Club 卧虎館.

Our President Eileen, together with CH from Hamachidori Kendo Club and Mark Tee from Muar, recently dropped by for a visit and shared some keiko with the members there.

It’s always meaningful to see kendo growing beyond our own dojo — new friendships formed, experiences shared, and the spirit of kendo passed on from one community to another.

Wishing Dr Tan and everyone at kluang kendo club 卧虎館all the best as they continue to grow. 💪🥋

Every practice reveals our imperfections — timing, hesitation, impatience, fear. But perfection was never the starting point.

Every strike, every mistake, every lesson — we keep shaping ourselves.

Not just becoming better at kendo.
Becoming better through it.

The sword shapes more than technique.
It shapes who we’re becoming.

Congratulations to all our Harimau Kendo Club members who passed their kyu grading today! 🤩🎉 🥳

From our young kenshi taking their first steps in grading to our adults continuing to challenge themselves — today was proof of what consistent practice, courage, and dedication can do. Proud of every one of you.

A big thank you to our instructors, examiners, senpai, parents, and everyone who helped make the day possible. 🙏🏻

there are no enemies.

Only two people,
ready to give their very best.

Neither will hold back—

because only through sincere effort
can we truly test ourselves.

One may win.

One may lose.

But both leave with something more valuable:

experience,

humility,

and a deeper understanding of themselves.

In kendo, we have a saying:

交剣知愛

“Through crossed swords, we come to understand one another.”

Every opponent becomes a teacher.

Every victory reminds us to stay humble.

Every defeat teaches us to rise again.

Little by little, this is how character is forged.

Growth can feel like a journey we take alone.

Kendo teaches us otherwise.

Behind every confident strike

was once a beginner,

who needed someone to believe in them

a teacher who shared their knowledge,

a senior who offered encouragement,

a training partner who stood beside them,

practice after practice.

None of us walks this path alone.

Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give

isn’t instruction.

It’s belief.

Because when someone believes in us,

we begin to believe in ourselves.

And one day,

it becomes our turn

to believe in someone else.
