Thankful for all the orders streaming in... But today I'm thankful for this...

My 82yo mom saw me manually winding bobbins. She went back to my sister's place where her traditional step sewing machine is and wound bobbins in support of what I'm doing. She's also given her approval on my sewing and said well done!

So I started. No rocket science or fancy equipments. In fact this is an upgraded version of my small little sewing machine I began with. What started off as a challenge from someone who told me don't bother making fabric masks. Too much work. I thought to myself... How hard could it be and so I tried. Through trial and error, kept researching, reading on proper materials and what works etc to get the right template and beautiful, safe masks.

Then the idea came to start doing something more meaningful with these masks... Hence, Masked Heroes Project was birthed - a project to raise awareness of the famine going on in Kenya and to raise funds to sponsor a child/children thru these masks under Metro World Child's Kenya : Critical Campaign.

It is beyond my comprehension that in this day and age, food shortage and famine is still so prevalent.

This project is centred around the heart of what's going on in Kenya and campaign under Metro World Child - Kenya:Critical.

I've always believed in the work that MWC has been doing all these years in some of the toughest parts of the world. Now, Kenya needs our attention and it's CRITICAL!

Do you know of any child who would be in such a state of mind to want to commit su***de? Here is one, in Kenya….

This 9 year old boy came to Sunday School that day, he wanted to end it all because he had become so sick and tired of 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆. 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲. 𝗗𝗮𝘆.

Being surrounded by miserable poverty had made him lose hope. It gripped me just to hear how ‘life’ could make a young boy lose all hope in the world. The world he didn’t create....

And on that day during the Sunday School lesson, he learned about how God is in control and He can change our situation. He was finally able to see and to feel hope!

Later on he spoke to our staff member about how our Sunday School lesson changed his life. We praised God with him!! 🙏🏼

The main purpose of Metro’s Sunday School is to share the true hope of the 𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹. At the same time, we also want to meet the practical needs of these kids.

Every sponsored child will receive a hot meal at school in Kenya. It’s too often their only meal for the day. They always share their food with the siblings who are not sponsored. ❤️
