A very insightful and informative webinar titled "Halal Business Management: Halal Supply Chain Management an Emerging Requirement by Prof. Dr. Marco Tieman [CEO of LLB International]
"As halal is moving from a halal product approach, towards a halal
supply chain and value chain approach, companies need to extend that halal control points beyond production urgently. Halal regulations is getting more stringent in several markets, like Indonesia where by October 2024 halal certification will become mandatory. There is now an international halal supply chain management system standard: OIC/SMIIC 17:2020, covering transportation, warehousing, and retailing.
Halal certification is the bare minimum, halal production requires a halal excellence philosophy" as stated by Prof. Dr. Marco.
