Dearest SMKDJ Parents,

It is our duty to ensure that the surrounding areas of our school is safe for our kids to walk to get in and out of the school compound.

Sometimes, due to our lack of awareness on what the do’s and don’ts are while we drop off and pick up our kids, it may cause DANGER and even CASUALTY to them.

Thanks to PIBG Biro Infrastruktur & Keselamatan and Biro Komunikasi & Siaraya, and some of our kids 😊 we have come up with this awareness video for all of us.

Please watch till the end. This is their plea to make the roads safe for them.

Yesterday, our PIBG YDP Shake Faisal
and NYDP Yuwaraj Kumar Balakrishnan had a fruitful meeting with the Damansara Jaya Residents and Owners Association (DJROA) DJROA Community headed by its President, Dr Ong See Lian to discuss on several issues, pertaining to traffic and road safety around school and residential area of Damansara Jaya.

Also present were representatives from Bike Commute Malaysia, an NGO who are planning to embark on a project that would reduce traffic congestion and improve on safety for students who usually walk and cycle just outside our school compound.

We look forward to work with all of them closely to support the project and to ensure best solution for the issues addressed.

Last Friday, 26 April 2024, SMK Damansara Jaya had their annual Road Run and PIBG were excited to be a part of it!

Sports is an essential part of schooling life and our children’s participation in these activities will ensure that their commitment towards a healthier body will in turn result in a healthier mind and life!

Bravo to the teachers who pulled off yet another successful ROAD RUN 2024. Till next year!

Unit Bimbingan Dan Kaunselling through Program Dasar Warga Emas are calling for donations of essential goods to be collected for our dear senior citizens. This program will help our students be more aware of the struggles of our country’s senior citizens while encouraging them to be more caring and loving towards the elderly.

Dear DJians, in preparation for the Hari Raya celebrations at the school level on the 19th April for our students, teachers and senior citizens 🥳 your help is needed - A school initiative, they are seeking donations in kind to make the celebrations a day to remember!

Celebrating the various festivities in Malaysia, in this instance, Hari Raya at the school level will promote a deeper understand and appreciation for the beliefs and festivities of our Muslim DJians who will celebrate alongside all DJians from all walks of life.

This immersive culture at SMKDJ is what makes our school great!
