We've got some awesome news to share - our natural handmade mosquito repellent is getting some major love from Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Selangor, YBBM Yayasan Belia Buddhist Malaysia 马佛教发展基金会 and Persatuan-persatuan agama Buddha Selangor ! They recently gifted our repellent to their participants and we couldn't be more grateful for their support.

Now, you might be wondering what makes our mosquito repellent so special. Well, for starters, it's made from upcycled citrus peels and herbs. That's right, we're not just keeping the bugs away, we're also doing our part to reduce waste and promote sustainability. And if that's not enough to make you swoon, our packaging is all made from recycled papers - we're basically the eco-friendly superhero of mosquito repellents!

But wait, there's more! We're not just in the business of making you itch-free - we're also committed to making a positive impact in our community. Our products are all made by the economically disadvantaged, so when you support our brand, you're supporting a good cause.

There's a heatwave coming our way. While it may be uncomfortable for us to be out and about, there's actually something positive that we can do with all that sunshine - sundry citrus peel!

As part of our upcycling programme, we are collecting citrus peels to repurpose them into various useful items. By drying the peel in the sun, we can reduce waste and create something useful out of what would otherwise be thrown away.

So, instead of tossing your citrus peels in the bin, why not join us in this initiative? It's a simple and eco-friendly way to do your part in creating a more sustainable future.

Hey folks!

We at WASU and Hara Makers would like to give a huge shoutout to our amazing team of student volunteers from Peninsula College Malaysia , led by Clarence Tan. These dedicated volunteers not only helped with our community training in PPR Lembah Subang, but also played a vital role in producing mosquito repellent from fruit waste.

Thanks to their tireless efforts, these superheroes were able to sell the mosquito repellent on their campus and raise funds for our community. This is a great example of how young people can make a difference and use their skills to benefit those in need.

We want to express our sincere appreciation for the time, energy, and passion that these volunteers have put into making our world a better place. Without their help, none of this would have been possible. Keep up the amazing work! 💪💪💪

Every chapter in life has to come to an end inevitably.
It was sad to learn that our collaborator had decided to close down their community space in Kepong Baru. Breathing life into Here Community Space for one year has been an incredible journey.
We were (still are) only a tiny and insignificant loose group who wanted to talk about pollution in our community. HERE had allowed us to do that with their unconditional love and support for the environment. They lent us a space, opened us to the neighbourhood, and welcomed us with everything we needed. We enjoyed so much our run here with all the friends we have made along the way, and no words can adequately describe how grateful we are for your continued support throughout the journey!
It saddens us deeply that our paths may not cross again. Bid You Adieu, 這裏 • HERE . Hopefully, one day we can look back on 這裏 • HERE’s goodbye with a smile!

Happy Labour Day!

Today is Earth Day!

转眼间，一个星期过去，差点忘了与大家分享上个星期好玩的驱蚊香工作坊。WASU与蒲种金銮的居民，小小地翻转厨房，寻找厨房里的香料制作驱蚊香。大家还把家里珍藏的石磨盅搬来，尝试研磨香料。好吧，这并不容易。不过大家也磨得不亦乐乎，深刻体会谁知盘中餐粒粒皆辛苦啊！
一个小时半的工作坊，大家尝试了至少三种香料制成的驱蚊香，互相交流香料的知识，也用饼干模具做了不同造型的驱蚊香。最后，大家把各自的驱蚊香带回去，这些驱蚊香需要至少晒七天才能使用哦（看天气而定，有时需要更久些）。
