As SUKMA 2026 comes to an end.
This is a story worth telling and this is the moment.
Before the state jackets, the lights, and the medals around their necks, there was a quiet beginning.
In 2024, Taring Muay Thai made its very first appearance on the national stage at SUKMA Sarawak. We were young, we were unproven, and we returned home with a single bronze medal earned by Zufry Isqandar. It was a humble moment, but it planted a seed, we belong here.
What happened next is the part no one saw.The story behind closed doors. Thanks to our head coach.
Months before SUKMA 2026, 12 fighters entered our selection camp. You saw the final podium, but you didn’t see the 5:30 AM track sessions, the bloodied wraps, the brutal weight cuts, or the gym floor soaked in sweat until 10 PM. You didn’t see the heartbreak when 3 of our fighters didn’t make the final roster.
9 made the cut. They split up to represent three different state flags.Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan, and Pahang but when the bell rang, every single drop of sweat belonged to the same home.
And when the dust settled, we didn’t just compete. We brought home the complete set: GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE.
🥇 Fadzmi Aiman (54-57kg, Selangor) – GOLD
🥈 Zufry Isqandar (45-48kg, WP) – SILVER
🥉 Afifah Zakirah (51-54kg, Selangor) – BRONZE
From 1 bronze in 2024 to sweeping the entire set in 2026. Greatness isn’t born in the light,it’s built behind closed doors, session by session, as a family.
Different state colors on their backs. One bloodline in the ring.
To 𝙝 𝙖 𝙞 𝙠𝙖 𝙡 🧃 and Danish Hakimi who fought through the absolute heat of battle until the stoppage. To Norman, Syamimi, Syafiqah, and Syahira, who gave every breath for three full rounds and lost by the narrowest margin on points.
The scoreboard shows a number, but we saw your heart. You fought with everything you had, and you carried our name with pride.
And that is TARING MUAYTHAI it’s all about.
We live by our motto FIGHTER x FAMILY.
