TAR UMT has its Main Campus in Kuala Lumpur, three branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor and two faculties in Pahang and Sabah, namely, the Faculty of Commerce, Communications & Hospitality and the Faculty of Business, Information Technology & Hospitality respectively. The University offers more than 100 programmes at pre-university, Diploma and Degree levels. These programmes cover several fields, ranging from professional programmes in accountancy, engineering and built environment, business and management, finance and ICT, to disciplines in applied science, mass communication, creative arts, hospitality management and humanities as well as Foundation and A Level.

TAR UMT Penang Branch was honoured to host the Karnival Semarak Perpaduan Bahasa Peringkat Negeri Pulau Pinang, organised by Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Pulau Pinang (JPN Pulau Pinang) on 8 August 2026

The carnival brought together students, teachers and education partners through various activities that promote language, culture, unity and harmony.

Our Bachelor in Software Engineering (Honours) (RSW) student team was awarded the Champion Award in the Tech4Good Challenge 2026. Organised jointly by ViTrox Technologies and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), this national-level competition commenced with the preliminary round in March 2026. It concluded with the final round held on 25 July 2026.

Throughout their competition journey, the students pitched their project ideas by submitting a 10-page technical proposal, qualifying them as finalists. During the final round held at ViTrox College Campus 2.0, the team presented their ideas and showcased their solutions at an exhibition booth. At this national-level event, the team performed remarkably well and received a cash prize of RM5,000, a RM150 cash voucher from Cytron Technologies Malaysia, along with medals and certificates.

TAR UMT was honoured to pay a courtesy visit to SMJK Sin Min, SMJK Keat Hwa, and SMJK Keat Hwa II.

The delegation was led by TAR UMT President, Prof. Dato' Indera Ir. Dr. Lee Sze Wei, together with Director of the Department of Corporate Communication and Marketing from Kuala Lumpur Main Campus, Ts. Ooi Swee Yaw, and representatives from TAR UMT Penang Branch, including Branch Head, Prof. Dr. Toh Guat Guan, and Manager of the Divisions of Admissions & Marketing, Ms. Lee Phaik Ling.
