How to raise emotionally intelligent kids
1️⃣ Model emotional intelligence 😌
Children learn by example, so it's essential to model emotional intelligence by identifying and expressing your own emotions in a healthy way.
2️⃣️ Validate feelings 😁😥😌
Let your child know that it's okay to feel different emotions and validate their feelings, even if you don't agree with their perspective.
3️⃣ Teach emotional vocabulary
👁 Help your child develop an emotional vocabulary by naming emotions and talking about them in a way that your child can understand.
4️⃣ Practice active listening 👂
Listen actively to your child and acknowledge their feelings. This can help them feel heard and valued, and learn how to listen actively to others.
