Congratulations to all participants、which the Top 20 videos in each category (or fewer where there were lower numbers of entries or disqualifications) had been uploaded🐬
Winning is not the only goal of joining a ukulele competition. 🌺
For the past nine years, the Malaysia Ukulele Festival has been organised with one mission: to provide a meaningful platform for learning, sharing, and inspiring the ukulele community. Every year, our organising team and adjudicators dedicate countless hours to reviewing hundreds of performances. 💪💪
This year alone, more than 3,000 individual participants took part across all categories. In some categories, there were 50 - 70 entries, making the judging process extremely challenging. Selecting the Top 20, and eventually the Top 5, requires careful discussion and professional evaluation.🔆
To those who did not make the Top 20 or did not receive an award, please do not see this as a failure. Every participant who had the courage to perform has already achieved something valuable. Competitions are part of the learning journey, not the final destination.💪💪💪💪
We also respectfully appeal to parents and teachers to embrace the results in the true spirit of sportsmanship. It is natural to feel proud of your children and students, but judging a performance involves many musical aspects beyond speed, technical difficulty, or song choice. Experienced adjudicators consider numerous elements, including musicality, rhythm, tone, interpretation, performance practice, interpretation of song, stage presentation, and overall artistic communication.
This competition is FREE of CHARGE.
Malaysia Ukulele Festival is organised to provide students with a meaningful platform to showcase their musical talents, gain valuable performance experience, and earn additional PAJSK co-curricular marks alongside their academic studies. 📚📚
The organising committee has always worked with integrity. No member of the MUF Team receives personal profit from organising this competition. In fact, the festival incurs considerable expenses, including honoraria for five professional adjudicators and many operational costs, all with the hope of giving our ukulele community a fair and valuable experience.
What saddens us most is not criticism itself, but personal attacks, hurtful words, and misunderstandings directed at those who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes.🥹🥹
If you believe you can organise a better festival, we sincerely welcome more people to contribute to the growth of the ukulele community.
We would be happy to see more quality platforms created for everyone.
Finally, we ask everyone to show kindness, compassion, and respect to the organisers, the adjudicators, the teachers, the parents, and above all, to every participant. 🌻
Let us continue to build a ukulele community that celebrates learning, friendship, humility, and the joy of making music together.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
