Title: Empowering Communication Skills: English Speaking Seminar at SMK Nilai Impian

SMK Nilai Impian witnessed a transformative event on December 6, 2023, as Dr. Shanti Nair spearheaded an English Speaking Seminar aimed at enhancing the communication skills of the students. Assisted by the dedicated members of the MILA Times Club, Kanimolli Dinahgaran, Sharveshwaran Moneymaran, Poojassri Shanmugam, and Jose Manuel Okomo, the seminar was a resounding success.
The seminar focused on honing essential aspects of effective communication, emphasizing tone, body language, and clarity when speaking. These elements play a pivotal role in conveying messages with impact and precision, crucial skills in both academic and professional spheres.
Dr. Shanti Nair, brought a wealth of experience to the seminar. Her passion for empowering students through effective communication was evident throughout the event. The MILA Times Club members also played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth ex*****on of the seminar, contributing their organizational skills and enthusiasm to create a vibrant and engaging learning environment.
The seminar comprised three key activities, each designed to address specific aspects of communication:
Tone Training: Students engaged in exercises and discussions to understand the significance of tone in communication. Dr. Shanti Nair provided valuable insights into the impact of tone on conveying emotions, intentions, and the overall message. Practical exercises allow students to practice modulating their tone for different scenarios.
