USAPPS is a non-profit organization sponsored by EducationUSA Malaysia that provides free annual workshops to Malaysian students interested in studying in the U.S. The workshop features student facilitators from schools across the U.S. including Ivy Leagues, as well as admissions officers from various U.S. universities.

This year, they will be hosting their workshops online on the 7th & 8th of August! They'll be covering the entire application process from scholarships & financing, essay-crafting, life and culture, extracurricular activities, transferring and more! They're also featuring a Grad School Panel, post-workshop mentorship, and class simulations for you to get a taste of U.S. university classes! This event is also an excellent opportunity to meet with current Malaysian students in the U.S. to gain tips and advice about the application process in detail.

Are you interested in applying to colleges and universities in the United States? Join the EducationUSA U.S. Higher Education Virtual Fair 2021 on Saturday, August 7 from 10:00am to 1:00pm Malaysia Time (GMT+8) to learn more about pursuing higher education in the United States.

During the fair, students will have the opportunity to chat with representatives from 45 accredited U.S. higher education institutions. School representatives will be able to answer questions about their application process, programs offered at their institutions, general admission requirements, campus life, and information about potential scholarship opportunities. EducationUSA advisors will also be available to provide comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date information about studying in the United States!

EducationUSA Malaysia will be organizing a virtual Pre-Departure Orientation for students who have been accepted to a U.S. university this fall! This is a great opportunity to meet other students who are also headed to the U.S. and have all of your questions answered about your upcoming adventure!

EducationUSA advisers will share resources that will help you prepare for new experiences and develop skills to adjust to new challenges. Topics discussed include cultural differences, motivation, changes from your home environment, academic systems and expectations, housing, and coping in a new cultural setting. They will also have current students from UMich and NYU and a representative from the National Assembly of Malaysian Students in America - NAMSA share their experience arriving, studying and living in the United States in the time of the pandemic.

What is National Higher Education Day about?

In the US, less than 50% of first-time college students finish their degree in six years. The top two leading reasons for dropout are financial difficulties and poor academic preparedness. Guiding future college students through the higher education process will help increase their chances of graduating with a degree. National Higher Education Day is designed to educate and inspire future graduates.

National Higher Education Day is observed annually on June 6th. Celebrate by advocating for higher education on your social media sites. Specifically, you can post photos about your education, your future academic goals, or how your education has helped you in your career. You can also promote scholarship opportunities, or donate to a scholarship program. Use .
