LCME syllabus updates! Your questions answered! ๐ต
Weโve had a few questions recently regarding the LCME 2021 Piano syllabus and accompanying LCME Piano Handbooks 2021-2024.
We can officially confirm that the syllabus and handbooks have been extended until further notice so you can continue using them.
Here are some FAQs about validity periods for our syllabusesโฆ
โ How long is a syllabus valid for?
โ๏ธ LCME syllabuses are normally named after the year they are launched. While syllabuses often state an initial validity period, this can be extended until further notice. The โOur examsโ section on the website includes the latest syllabus information: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0c0xlx0

โ What happens when a new syllabus is launched? Do I need to switch immediately?
โ๏ธ Great news! When we launch a new syllabus, you have options:
1๏ธโฃ The previous syllabus will remain valid for 12 months after the new one is introduced, so you can continue using it until the cutoff date
2๏ธโฃ Alternatively, you can start using the new syllabus straightaway
โ Why is there an overlap period?
โ๏ธ We understand that learning takes time, and everyone's journey is unique. The 12-month overlap allows you to:
๐ผ Complete your exam using the current syllabus if you're mid-preparation
๐ผ Transition to the new syllabus at your own pace
๐ผ Choose the syllabus that best suits your learning style and goals
