MUAR HIGH SCHOOL *The Premier School since 1902* The school began as a Government English School Muar (GESM). Mati and Parit Bunga (on highway 23 and 5).
Muar High School (Malay: Sekolah Tinggi Muar, Chinese: 麻坡高级中学) as it is popularly known, was founded in 1902 and is one of the oldest schools in Muar district. The current Muar High School building was constructed in 1914. Around 1957-1959, it became the centre for DTC Teachers Training Centre and between 1965-1967 it became the centre for RTC Training.
