TA’s first product line was the Mex Series which was launched in 1991 and has since received commendable responses when showcased in trade exhibitions. In 1997, TA upgraded its production facilities to produce a series of “State of the Art” office furniture to meet the ever changing demands of the office space. With people as the center of its consideration, the series was produced with the highest quality and with competitive pricing. TA is continuously upgrading its production facilities and has invested in specialized furniture machineries which have mainly been imported from Germany. TA has also introduced automation in the production process to further improve production efficiency. This enhances our competitiveness by offering a broad range of panel system office furniture and creates a well functioned and stimulating working environment. The focus of TA’s design and development of its facilities is always to optimize office space utilization which considers the comfort of users. It offers an open plan furniture system that is modular and flexible but also provides ample room for personal creativity and modifications required to offer a variety of accessories, optional cabinets and worktops. TA’s most recent focus on product development is on home furniture. Products from TA’s modular home furniture system, which includes living rooms, bedrooms and study rooms, were showcased in 2005 and are based on the European ‘do-it-yourself’ style of home furnishing systems. These products come in various sizes, shapes and designs and have catered to the major target markets in the Middle East, Europe and America. This proposed line of home furniture products are modular and provide customers with the flexibility to stack up, add on, interchange or configure solutions according to their needs. The ‘do-it-yourself’ home concept system provides space-saving features which accommodate the modern living demand trend popularized in Europe the Middle East. Due to the above strength, today we have managed to spread our market niche worldwide where our office furniture is presently represented in over 72 countries. In appreciation of our pursuit for achieving high product quality for the export market, we were awarded runner-up in the Best Paneling Furniture Product Award during the Johor Furniture Fair in 1992 and also nominated as one of the Top 50 Enterprises in Malaysia in 1998 which was organized by Andersen Consulting in collaboration with SMIDEC. Furniture Industries achieved a milestone for itself when it became one of the first few companies to be awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 in Malaysia. This has been recognized around the world and is a demonstration of TA’s goals for continuous improvement.
