“Being from Miri, Curtin Malaysia felt like the natural next step, but I arrived unsure of my direction. With only a Foundation in Engineering and curiosity to guide me, I explored. A simple programming unit changed everything. What began as interest quickly grew into passion, leading me to pursue Software Engineering.

“I’m in the fourth and final year of my course, and stepping into university at 19 was my first real leap out of my comfort zone. Adapting to a new environment, living independently, and keeping up with studies wasn’t easy, but over time, I found my rhythm.

“Receiving a scholarship in my second year eased my financial worries and helped me stay focused. I also served as a Peer-to-Peer facilitator, supporting others while learning to manage my own responsibilities. It was challenging, but it reminded me that growth is never a solo journey.

“Beyond academics, being Vice Treasurer of the CCS Club allowed me to connect with others and gain valuable experiences. Along the way, I found supportive lecturers and meaningful friendships that shaped my journey.
