SKE WESAK CELEBRATION OPENING CEREMONY 2026

On 23 May 2026, SKEDS students, teachers, volunteers and parents were honoured to participate in the SKE Wesak Celebration Opening Ceremony held at SKE Temple. One of the meaningful highlights of the evening was the participation of our young โ€œBunga Rampaiโ€ girls in the procession. Dressed in white and carrying baskets with joy and mindfulness, they beautifully reflected the spirit of devotion, respect and generosity during this Wesak celebration.

From the evening procession to the meaningful dana offerings and float preparations behind the scenes, it was truly heartwarming to witness the unity and dedication of the entire SKEDS volunteers family. Through such meaningful experiences, the children are given the opportunity to learn and practise Dhamma values such as kindness, gratitude, humility, and compassion in daily life.

May the blessings of Wesak inspire all of us to continue walking the path of wisdom, peace, and loving-kindness, bringing light and happiness to those around us ๐Ÿ™.

A heartfelt thank you and appreciation to all teachers, volunteers, parents, youth members and everyone involved in making the event smooth, meaningful, and memorable. Your time, effort, and dedication are deeply appreciated ๐Ÿ’›.

๐ŸŽจ 2026 SKEDS WESAK ART COMPETITION ๐ŸŽจ
THEME: EMBRACING PEACE AND ENHANCING HARMONY

As part of SKEDSโ€™ annual tradition in commemorating the Wesak Day Celebration, SKEDS proudly organised the 2026 SKEDS Wesak Art Competition on 17th May โ€” a meaningful platform for students to celebrate Wesak through creativity, reflection, and Dhamma-inspired expression.

This annual event encourages our students to go beyond art and explore the values behind Wesak โ€” cultivating peace, loving-kindness, gratitude, harmony, compassion, and wisdom through colours and imagination.

From the joyful participation of our younger students to the thoughtful and inspiring artworks created by our older students, each piece reflected beautiful aspirations for a more peaceful and harmonious world. Through art, our students learned that true creativity begins with a wholesome mind and a compassionate heart.

A heartfelt thank you to all teachers, volunteers and parents for your continuous support in making this meaningful annual event possible ๐Ÿ™

SKEDS Awareness Programme 2026
๐Ÿฆท Oral Health Talk with Klinik Pergigian Melaka Tengah

On 26 April 2026, SKEDS successfully conducted a meaningful Awareness Programme for our students, focusing on oral health education while nurturing wholesome Dhamma values.

From our young learners (ages 6โ€“9) in Metta and Karuna classes to our older students, Mudita and Upekkha (ages 10โ€“17) in Samadhi Hall, the session was filled with engaging talks, interactive learning, and joyful participation. The students not only learned proper dental care but also expressed their understanding through creative colouring and attentive listening.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated dentists from Klinik Pergigian Melaka Tengah for their valuable sharing and service to our community.

Good health is a foundation for a peaceful mind, and through small mindful practices like proper dental care, we nurture both body and mind.

๐Ÿ™ Thank you to all teachers and volunteers for your support and dedication in making this programme meaningful and successful.

CPR & AED Awareness Programme 2026

On 19 April 2026, SKEDS students, parents, teachers and volunteers came together to participate in the CPR & AED Awareness Programme, learning life-saving skills that can truly make a difference in times of need.

From hands-on practical sessions to engaging guidance by experienced trainers, participants gained valuable knowledge on how to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies. The energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn were truly heartwarming. When we equip ourselves with these skills and values, we are not only learning, we are cultivating a heart that is ready to serve.

A big thank you to all participants, Pertahanan Awam Trainers, SKE Board of Management and organizers for making this programme a success. May the knowledge gained today empower us to act with confidence, compassion, and wisdom whenever help is needed.

Let us continue to grow not only in knowledge, but also in kindness and courage.

Every second countsโ€ฆ and every compassionate action matters.

*SKEDS First Lesson Day โ€“ 8 March 2026*

We are delighted to share that Seck Kia Eenh Dhamma School (SKEDS) has officially begun its new term on 8th March 2026 with our first lesson of the year ๐Ÿ™

The morning started with a peaceful and meaningful Puja at the Main Shrine Hall, where our students gathered together to pay homage and set wholesome intentions for the new learning journey ahead. Beginning the day with calmness and mindfulness reminds us of the importance of gratitude, respect, and the cultivation of wisdom in our daily lives.

After the Puja session, the students also had the opportunity to take photos at the Chinese New Year photo booth, thoughtfully prepared by the SKE Youth Section. The festive booth brought smiles and laughter as students captured joyful moments with their friends.

It was heartwarming to see all the students excited to be back at SKEDS, reconnecting with their classmates and teachers after the break. The energy and enthusiasm truly filled the hall with happiness and positivity.

May this new term bring many meaningful lessons, friendships, and opportunities for our students to grow in wisdom, compassion, and mindfulness. We look forward to a wonderful year of learning and Dhamma practice together ๐Ÿ™

๐ŸฎSKEDS Launching Ceremony & Chinese New Year Celebration 2026๐Ÿฎ

What a joyful and meaningful start to our new term at SKEDS! ๐ŸŒธ

We began the day with a calm and mindful Puja, guiding our children to anchor their hearts in gratitude and loving-kindness. Starting the year with Dhamma reminds us that true prosperity is not measured by wealth, but by wisdom and wholesome intentions. ๐Ÿ™

The vibrant sound of firecrackers welcomed a fresh beginning for 2026, followed by an energetic Lion Dance performance in Samadhi Hall that filled the space with excitement, courage, and festive blessings.

Our cheerful Gods of Prosperity brought smiles to every corner, while Venerable Bhante Seela distributed oranges symbolising abundance and goodwill. Sweets and angpow were shared, reflecting the joy of Dana (generosity) where happiness multiplies through giving. ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿงง

The spirited Yee Sang tossing united everyone in laughter and auspicious wishes. Higher toss, greater blessings, not only for success, but for harmony, kindness, and wisdom in the year ahead. Even Bhante joined the joyful moment! ๐Ÿฅขโœจ

We also celebrated our January & February birthday babies, including teachers and members of SKEDS. May you grow in health, compassion, and wisdom always. ๐ŸŽ‚

We would like to sincerely thank Bhante Seelalankara and the Sangha members for their blessings and guidance, the SKE Board of Management for their support, our dedicated teachers and volunteers for organising and preparing the event, our supportive parents and committee members for their continuous contributions, and our wonderful children for bringing joy, sincerity, and positive energy to the celebration.

Your collective effort, teamwork, and selfless service made this event smooth, meaningful, and memorable. This is the true spirit of Sangha โ€” unity in harmony.

May 2026 be a year filled with peace, wisdom, good health, and joyful learning for all.
