Our school was transformed into the historic streets of Melaka today, and it was all thanks to the incredible talent of Medina Elora from Kid Arenas.

Medina didn't just "tell" a story; she breathed life into the very soul of Malaysia’s historical heartbeat. With pure perfection, she took us on a breathtaking journey that left the audience spellbound.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 🪄
What made Medina’s storytelling truly exceptional was her ability to balance deep emotion with crystal-clear delivery. We were transported across centuries:

We could almost see the crimson walls of the Stadthuys and feel the enduring strength of the
A' Famosa fortress as she spoke with such reverence and pride.

Her vivid descriptions of the Peranakan food found along Jonker Street were so detailed we could almost smell the spices!

From the legendary tales of the Sultanate to the modern-day charm of the city, Medina delivered every line with heart, poise, and professional clarity.

At Kid Arenas, nothing fills us with more pride than seeing a student like Medina command the stage with such confidence. She reminded us all that history isn't just about dates in a book—it’s about the stories we carry forward.

Today, our school hall felt a little more magical than usual. We witnessed a truly milestone moment as our brave student, Muhammad Taqi Rayyan Bin Imran Khan, stepped onto the stage for his first-ever storytelling performance. 🎤🌟

🌙 More Than Just a Story
Taqi didn’t just recite lines; he took us on a journey through the heart of Hari Raya. We purposely challenged Taqi to explore a deep, soulful theme: the contrast between the fast-paced, "busy" life of city parents and the slow, intentional warmth of a "kampung" parent.

Through Taqi’s words, we were reminded of a powerful truth that every Malaysian child in the city feels: While we admire our parents' hard work, their presence is worth far more than any gift money can buy. 🧡

🔄 The Circle of Life
One of the most touching moments was Taqi’s portrayal of the relationship between parents and "Tok." Seeing that bridge between generations reminded us all of the beautiful circle of life and the traditions that keep our families grounded. 👵👴

At Kid Arenas, we believe that every child is a star waiting for the right moment to shine. Today, I want to share a story that has touched all our hearts—the story of our brave student, Nuha Bte Thajaruddin.

Coming from a Malay-speaking household, Nuha decided to take on a monumental challenge: performing a professional storytelling piece entirely in English.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗹𝗲 💡
The journey wasn’t easy. In the beginning, Nuha was incredibly shy and reluctant. Like many of us facing a new language and a stage, she felt the weight of the challenge. She was often hard on herself, battling those initial nerves that tell us "I can't."

𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙩 𝙆𝙞𝙙 𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙨, 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝—𝙬𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚.

The Power of Guidance and Love ❤️
Our dedicated teachers poured their hearts into Nuha’s progress. For over a month, they walked beside her through:

Through weeks of hard work and the unwavering support of her mentors, the "reluctant" Nuha transformed. She mastered the story of the Fireflies, finding her voice and her confidence along the way. When she finally performed, she didn't just tell a story—she captivated us all.

Nuha, your Kid Arenas family is so incredibly proud of you. You proved that with a little bit of grit and a lot of love, the impossible becomes possible.

Heartwarming news to share today! We are bursting with pride as we witness a beautiful transformation in one of our students, Tjing Jing Yan (fondly known to us all as "Jinglebell").

When Jinglebell first joined us, she was our "quiet observer"—very shy and often reluctant to speak or try reading aloud. But at Kid Arenas, we believe that every child blossoms in their own time with the right support.

For quite some time now, Teacher Elizia Ann has been by Jinglebell’s side, guiding her with incredible patience, gentle encouragement, and a lot of love.

We are so thrilled to announce that all that hard work has paid off! At 6 years old, Jinglebell has truly found her voice. She has opened up, started speaking with confidence, and—most excitingly—she is now reading! 📖✨

Hearing her read aloud brings such joy to our classrooms. It is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a student’s courage meets a teacher's dedication.

a very special kind of magic this week. As we gathered for our Annual Christmas Celebration, I found myself pausing just to take it all in—the sound of pure, unfiltered laughter and the sight of those bright, expectant smiles that remind us exactly why we do what we do.

❤️ 𝗔 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 ❤️

Though the end-of-year holidays meant that some of our dear students were already away traveling with their families, their spirits were certainly with us. Even with a smaller group, the room felt overflowing.
It wasn’t about the size of the crowd or the grandeur of the decorations; it was about the warmth of the connection. At Kid Arenas, we believe that every child is a light, and seeing those lights shine during our carols and games was the greatest gift any educator could ask for.

🌲𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗢𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀!

At Kid Arenas, we recently challenged our bright 7-year-old, Aaron Hong Yu Siang, to a special Christmas storytelling assignment: to tell us about the meaning of Christmas and why it's so important. It was not an easy task we must say, and oh, did he rise to the occasion! He did an absolutely awesome job weaving a tale that reminded us all what this season is truly about.

💖 A Trip Down Memory Lane

What made Aaron's story so special were the little, precious details. He spoke with such love about the sensory memories that make Christmas Christmas:

☃️ He talked about the incomparable smell of fresh-baked cookies wafting from the kitchen when Grandma is baking—that smell that instantly transports you back to childhood and warmth.

☃️ He also shared a tender moment with his mom, helping her hang ornaments on the Christmas tree. His eyes lit up when he told us his mom showed him a specific ornament—the very same one she used to hang when she was his age!

❄️This is the magic, isn't it, parents? ❄️
These are the nostalgic moments we create for our children that they carry with them forever. That simple act of hanging an ornament becomes a beautiful family tradition and a physical link between generations.

A huge bravo to Aaron for reminding us that the true importance of Christmas lies not in the gifts, but in the love, memories, and the simple, sacred traditions we share with the people we cherish most.

We love seeing those wonderful "Aha!" moments in our classroom! Today, we want to shine a spotlight on a fantastic learning session between our very own Teacher Virgilia Fredericks (Teacher V) and her dedicated student, A***n Shafiy Bin Muhammad Amir Ashraf.

At Kid Arenas English Literacy School, we believe that writing shouldn't be scary—it’s just like building a puzzle! 🧩

The Lesson: The S-V-O Method

To help A***n understand how sentences are built, Teacher V broke it down into 3 clear parts using the Subject + Verb + Object technique.

They used a delicious example:
🍰 "My Mother bakes a cake."

Teacher V guided A***n to separate the sentence so he could see exactly how it works:

* The Subject (The "Who"): My Mother 👩‍🍳
* The Verb (The Action): bakes 🥣
* The Object (The "What"): a cake 🎂

How We Guide Our Students
By breaking big sentences into small chunks, we help students like A***n move away from guessing and start understanding the structure of English. Once they master the S-V-O foundation, they gain the confidence to write longer, more complex stories on their own!

We just had to share this absolutely adorable moment from one of Teacher Nicole Anne's lessons! 🥹

♥️ We caught our amazing student, Kyra, mastering her spelling, and the technique Teacher Nicole Anne used was just too sweet! They were working on identifying and memorizing words, and when it came time to cement those spellings in her memory, Kyra took the advice to heart and closed her eyes tight in full concentration! 🧐

🌈 The expression was priceless—a little furrowed brow, a moment of deep focus, and pure dedication to learning! It reminds us how much heart and effort our little learners put into their education every single day. Teacher Nicole Anne does such a wonderful job of finding fun, engaging, and memorable ways to help our students grow. 🎉
