🚨 HEALTH ALERT TO ALL PARENTS 🚨

Dear Parents,

We would like to remind everyone to be extra cautious as we are hearing of an increasing number of HFMD, Dengue and Influenza A cases among children in Melaka.

We are thankful that currently there are NO reported cases in our kindergarten. ❀️ We hope to keep it that way with everyone’s cooperation.

Kindly take these precautions:

πŸ”Ή Monitor your child daily for fever, cough, flu, sore throat, mouth ulcers, rashes or unusual tiredness.
πŸ”Ή Please do not send your child to school if they are unwell, even if the symptoms appear mild.
πŸ”Ή Encourage frequent handwashing and good personal hygiene.
πŸ”Ή Avoid sharing food, drinks, bottles, towels or personal items.
πŸ”Ή For dengue prevention, regularly check your home surroundings and remove any stagnant water where mosquitoes may breed.
πŸ”Ή Seek medical attention if your child develops concerning or persistent symptoms.
πŸ”Ή Kindly inform the kindergarten immediately if your child is diagnosed with HFMD, Influenza A, Dengue or any other contagious illness.

At TGJJ, we will continue to maintain our daily health screening, cleanliness and hygiene practices to safeguard our Juniors.

As part of our Merdeka Month celebration, our TGJJ children had the opportunity to learn about and experience traditional games that were played by people in the olden days. πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύβœ¨

Through these fun activities, children not only stayed active and had fun with their friends, but also learned about traditional Malaysian games and appreciated the cultural heritage passed down through generations. ❀️

It was wonderful to see the children running, playing and learning together! 😍

Today, our little learners took a journey through Malaysia’s history as they learned about how our country achieved independence. πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύβœ¨

The children were introduced to Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia’s first Prime Minister and an important figure in our journey towards independence. πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ’ΌπŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ They also watched an engaging video about the history of Merdeka and learned about the famous moment when Tunku Abdul Rahman proudly led the nation in shouting β€œMerdeka!” πŸ“£πŸŽ‰

Through this activity, the children were encouraged to appreciate the meaning of independence, get to know an important Malaysian leader, and develop a sense of love and pride for our country. β€οΈπŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ

Learning about our history helps our little learners understand where we came from and why we celebrate Hari Kemerdekaan every year. 🌟😊

Today, our little learners explored four new Mandarin words: 摌 (zhu) – table , ζ€… (yǐ) – chair πŸͺ‘, 笔 (bǐ) – pencil ✏️, and ε°Ί (chǐ) – ruler πŸ“.

The children practised recognising and pronouncing each new word through fun and engaging activities. ✨ This helps to expand their Mandarin vocabulary while encouraging them to confidently use and remember the new words. 🌟❀️

Little by little, our learners are building their Mandarin vocabulary through meaningful, interactive and enjoyable learning experiences! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³πŸ˜Š

πŸ”΅ Today’s Activity πŸ”΅

πŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ§ͺ🌈 Science Meets Patriotism: The Magic Milk Experiment! 🌈πŸ§ͺπŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ

Our little scientists are continuing their journey of discovering the colours of the Jalur Gemilang through an exciting hands-on science experiment! β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ€

For our first experiment, the children used milk to represent the white colour, followed by red, blue and yellow food colouring to represent the colours of our Malaysian flag. πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύβœ¨ Baby powder was then sprinkled onto the surface before adding dish soap β€” and suddenly, the colours started to move, swirl and dance! 😍🌈

But what made the colours move? πŸ€”

The dish soap interacts with the fat in the milk and changes the surface tension, creating movement in the milk and pushing the food colouring around. This gives us the beautiful β€œdancing colours” effect! πŸ₯›πŸ§ΌπŸŽ¨

For the second experiment, our children became the little scientists themselves! πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬πŸ‘¨β€πŸ”¬ Each child used a cotton bud dipped in dish soap and gently touched it onto the colourful milk. They excitedly watched as the colours moved and created beautiful patterns right before their eyes! ✨😍

Through these experiments, children developed their observation skills, curiosity, prediction and early scientific thinking, while at the same time strengthening their memory of the red, blue, yellow and white colours of the Jalur Gemilang. πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύβ€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ€

Science is even more exciting when we can see, touch, explore and discover it together! πŸ§ͺ🌈✨

Today, our little performers had their Merdeka Performance Training as they prepared for their upcoming patriotic performance. 🎢✨ The children practised their movements, dance steps and performance together while learning to work as a team.

It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, confidence and teamwork growing with every practice! πŸŒŸπŸ‘
