β **BETO Programme Officially Commences at UniKL MIMET** β‘
On **8 June 2026**, the **Bridging Electro-Technical Officer (BETO) Programme** officially commenced at **UniKL Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET)**.
The opening ceremony was **officiated by the Dean of UniKL MIMET, Ts. Dr. Zaimi Zainal Mukhtar, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of producing competent Electro-Technical Officers (ETOs) to meet the growing demands of the global maritime industry.
The BETO Programme is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, technical competencies, and practical skills required to become qualified **Electro-Technical Officers (ETOs)** in accordance with international maritime standards.
We wish all participants a successful learning journey and every success in achieving their professional aspirations in the maritime sector.

π’ Successfully Conducted: Ship Stability Course β
ACE UniKL MIMET successfully conducted the Ship Stability Course from 5β7 May 2026 at UniKL MIMET, Lumut, involving 10 officers and personnel from the Royal Malaysian Navy.
The programme provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical understanding of ship stability principles, contributing towards safer and more efficient maritime operations.
π The course concluded with a closing and certificate presentation ceremony officiated by **Ts. Dr. Asmawi Abdul Malik, Deputy Dean (Academic), UniKL MIMET**.

π’ Preparatory Course for Electro-Technical Officer (Unlimited Trade Voyage β Motor/Steam)

ACE UniKL MIMET successfully conducted the Preparatory Course for Electro-Technical Officer (ETO), designed to equip candidates with the essential knowledge and competencies required for the ETO Oral Examination under Jabatan Laut Malaysia (JLM).
Throughout the five-day programme, participants engaged in intensive learning sessions covering key STCW-based topics, oral exam techniques, troubleshooting scenarios, and competency-based assessmentsβensuring they are well-prepared for their next step toward professional certification.
π The course concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony, officiated by Mr. Muhammad Kasffi Ramli, Head of Section, UniKL MIMET, on behalf of the UniKL MIMET management.
