CONTROL OF HAZARDOUS ENERGY WITH LOTOTO SAFE PROCEDURE

A machine may appear switched off, but electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, thermal, gravitational and stored energy can remain active. One uncontrolled energy release during servicing or maintenance may result in serious injury, equipment damage or operational disruption.

This practical training guides participants through the correct Lock Out, Tag Out and Try Out (LOTOTO) process—from identifying hazardous energy sources and establishing isolation points to applying locks and tags, releasing stored energy and verifying a true zero-energy state.

Participants will strengthen their ability to:

✓ Understand the purpose and application of LOTOTO
✓ Identify hazardous and stored energy sources
✓ Perform systematic equipment isolation
✓ Apply locks, tags and isolation devices correctly
✓ Conduct Try-Out verification safely
✓ Release or restrain residual energy
✓ Understand authorized personnel responsibilities
✓ Confirm zero-energy status before work begins

Forklift Safe Handling Training Successfully Delivered

We have successfully completed a Forklift Safe Handling Training Program for a corporate client, focusing on practical competency, hazard awareness, and operational discipline aligned with industrial safety requirements.

A key highlight of this session was the integration of experimental learning using mini remote-control forklift models. This approach enabled participants to simulate real-world scenarios such as blind spot navigation, load stability control, and pedestrian interaction risks in a controlled environment.

Participants were able to:

Visualize critical blind spots and hazard zones during forklift operation
Understand load center shifts and stability triangle behavior through live simulation
Practice maneuvering techniques under constrained workspace conditions
Strengthen decision-making skills in high-risk operational scenarios

This hands-on methodology significantly improved engagement, retention, and real-world application compared to traditional classroom-only training.

The session reinforces the importance of combining theory + simulation + practical awareness to build a safer and more competent forklift workforce.
