Cranfield Forensic Institute Excellence Scholarship 2021

In celebration of the £7.2m investment in the Forensic Programme at the Cranfield campus in 2020, Cranfield University is awarding six scholarships to attract the most talented postgraduate students to study for one of their world-leading full-time MSc degrees. Each scholarship awards £10,000 towards the International Tuition Fee for 2021/22 entry.

United Kingdom Skilled Workers Guidelines:
The points-based system includes a route for skilled workers who have a job offer from an approved employer sponsor.
The job you’re offered will need to be at a required skill level of RQF3 or above (equivalent to A level). You’ll also need to be able to speak English and be paid the relevant salary threshold by your sponsor. This will either be the general salary threshold of £25,600 or the going rate for your job, whichever is higher.
If you earn less than this - but no less than £20,480 - you may still be able to apply by ‘trading’ points on specific characteristics against your salary. For example, if you have a job offer in a shortage occupation or have a PhD relevant to the job.

There is no general route for employers to recruit at or near the minimum wage.
If you’re not already a licensed sponsor and you think you’ll want to sponsor migrants through the skilled worker route, you should apply now.

UK STUDENT VISA PROCESS HIGHLIGHTS:
You can apply for a Student VISA to study in the UK if you’re 16 or over and you:
1. have been offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor
2. have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course - the amount will vary depending on your circumstances
3. can speak, read, write and understand English
4. have consent from your parents if you’re 16 or 17- you’ll need evidence of this when you apply
If you’re 16 or 17 and you want to study at an independent school in the UK, you may be eligible for a Child Student visa instead.
Student visa has replaced the Tier 4 (General) student visa.
APPLYING FROM OUTSIDE THE UK:
The earliest you can apply for a visa is 6 months before you start your course.
You’ll usually get a decision on your visa within 3 weeks.
APPLYING FROM INSIDE THE UK:
The earliest you can apply is 3 months before your course starts.
You must apply before your current visa expires. Your new course must begin within 28 days of your current visa expiring.
You’ll usually get a decision within 8 weeks.
FEES:
· £348 to apply for a Student visa from outside the UK
· £475 to extend or switch to a Student visa from inside the UK
You must pay the visa fee for each person that joins you.
