Dr. Saad Kashem received his PhD from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), Melbourne, Australia, in 2013. He received his BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2009. Dr. Saad Kashem joined the School of Engineering, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus (SUTS) as a Lecturer in 2014. Research Interests

I am looking for 2 Ph.D. students, one from Mechanical or Chemical Engineering background and another one from Electrical Engineering background (Automation)

Project title is “Pilot automation for advanced manufacturing of high-performance grapheme superbatteries”

Total Grant is RM 189,855
Each Ph.D. student will get AUD 15,200 per year

The students have to conduct research at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus but they are required to work at Swinburne University of Technology Melbourne Campus for 2-3 months in the last year.

Dear all,

IEEE Malaysia Section invites Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering Students to participate in the 3rd IEEE Malaysia Final Year Project (FYP) Online Competition 2016.
It is dedicated to all Undergraduate students who just completed or who are currently undertaking their Final Year Project in Malaysian Universities/ Institutions.
The competition is FREE for all IEEE student members and non-IEEE student members. This event is co-organized with IEEE Multimedia University (MMU) Student Branch.

Submission Deadline is on 30th June 2016.

For students who are interested, you just need to submit TWO items:
1. A POSTER summarizing your Final Year Project (Softcopy Only) AND
2. A SHORT VIDEO CLIP (less than 3 minutes) explaining your Final Year Project

Prizes (for each track/subject area)
· 1st Prize: RM300, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia
· 2nd Prize: RM200, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia
· 3rd Prize: RM100, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia

Certificate from IEEE Malaysia will be given to all participants
