Mobile healthcare services is on the rise. These days, patients can book appointments with doctors or have video medical consultations with doctors using apps.

Like this app, MaNaDr, it also allows doctors to send digitised versions of blood test results to patients within a day instead of their having to wait at least three days to collect a physical copy at the clinic.

Something big is coming soon!

ASEAN-China Entrepreneurs Association will be organising the ASEAN Digital Mobile Health Summit 2019, with the intention to raise awareness and keep up-to-date on latest development trends in global digital and mobile healthcare industries, with sharing from domain experts from around the ASEAN region. It is also to initiate cooperation towards ASEAN-wide telemedicine guideline, and ultimately to build a cross-border ecosystem that foster business opportunities in digital healthcare services as well as medical tourism amongst ASEAN countries and beyond.

MoU signing between ACEA and MCSRBC 08/08/2018

On July 13th 2018, ACEA witnessed the official appointment of YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ong Tee Keat as the Honorary Consulate for the Republic of Slovakia.

YBhg Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat is the former Transport Minister of Malaysia. After retiring from politics, he founded the Malaysia China Silk Route Business Chamber (MCSRBC) and Yayasan Bakti Nusa Malaysia. Recently, he is also appointed as the Honorary Chairperson for the ASEAN-China Entrepreneurs Association (ACEA).

In conjunction with this event, ACEA has signed an MoU with the Malaysia China Silk Route Business Chamber to foster partnership and explore business opportunities in the region. This marks the beginning of the cooperation of the two entities, which share the same vision to empower the Entrepreneurs and Businessmen between the regions, for more working opportunities to come.

To the local business community, The Malaysia-China Silk Route Business Chamber , founded in 2016 by Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat, has been playing its role in exploring the new sectors in the China market for the Malaysian entrepreneurs amidst the implementation of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Vice versa, it also serves to facilitate the foothold establishment for the China ventures in Malaysia.

Also present at the event are the Mr. Michal Slivovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia in Jakarta, Indonesia, Ambassadors representatives from the respected ASEAN Countries and Committee members from ACEA and MCSRBC.

ACEA Digital Tourism Forum 2018 06/06/2018

Co-Organized with Ministry of Tourism Sarawak, the ACEA Digital Tourism Forum was successfully held in Kuching on March 2018, with Ambassadors and Consulate from ASEAN gracing this event, with the Minister of Tourism Sarawak, YB Datuk Haji Abdul Karim, Vice OC Ybhg. Dato' John Hii and the Guest of Honor, YAB Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, represented by YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak.

The Forum and Dinner was well received with over 500 participants from across the Tourism industry players, both local and foreign.

Most of the Ambassadors visited Sarawak for the first time, and they certainly enjoyed their stay! We hope to be able to boost tourism here in Kuching, Sarawak, the Land of the Hornbills

Digital Tourism Forum 2018 was broadcasted at Xiamen TV!

How the Digital Era Impact and Improve the Tourism Industry

In recent years, with the boom of China tourists in the region, many ASEAN countries are capitalizing on digital technology to grab the business opportunity, and to improve the tourists experience in the region.

The Thailand Tourism Authority mentioned that they are working on mobile apps such as tourism apps and even mobile wallet services to improve tourist experience.

“We are providing application services to tourist around the world, which are also equipped with the Chinese language, so the Chinese tourist can come here alone without any hassle” Mdm. Nipa Nirannoot, Chargé d’ Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy

While promoting Sarawak tourism, YB Datuk Haji Abdul Karim, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Sarawak also expressed to collaborate with China in other industries in the State of Sarawak, to reach mutual benefits.

YBhg. Dato’ John Hii, VICE Organizing Chairperson of Digital Tourism Forum also hopes that China businesses and experts can work together with the locals for the exciting development of Sarawak.

“It is with great pleasure and honor that we have invited the Ministry from Sarawak to visit Xiamen, China to explore business opportunities and also promote Sarawak” Mr. Zheng Pei Zhi, General President of the Malaysia – Xiamen Business Chamber.
