A huge thanks to all the debaters and their teachers/trainers who came from far and near to debate at the 21st SSIDC! And a huge thanks to parents, parent-teacher associations, and sponsors who made this possible! You all keep debate and SSIDC alive!
What a wonderful way to embark on the third decade of debating in Swinburne Sarawak with students competing from schools as far away as from Kapit, Tawau and Kota Kinabalu, Negri Sembilan, Selangor, and Jakarta!
As always, there were the ups and downs of any tournament, fierce loyalty and competition, but great sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the debaters who dared to take to the floor whether novices and experienced orators - you’re what makes SSIDC the highlight of the Swinburne Debaters’ Club’s events, and dare I say, of the university’s student-based events!
Looking forward to seeing you all again next year, as debaters, adjudicators, and yes, new Swinburne students - members of the Swinburne Debaters’ Club!

Please note that teachers and adjudicators are also required to fill in the indemnity letters. Thank you for helping us make in-person registration a smooth process on Monday!
