πββοΈ HORNBILL SWIMMERS SWIM GALA 2026 πββοΈ
What a morning! π
A big congratulations to all our swimmers who won medals today. You should absolutely be proud of yourselves! But remember, these Swim Gala medals are not the destination. They're just little checkpoints along the journey. Enjoy them, celebrate them, then come back to training ready to work even harder. There are always bigger goals ahead! πͺ
To our Swim Team swimmers, keep chasing improvement. The medal is nice, but the real achievement is becoming a little faster, a little stronger, and a little better than you were yesterday.
A special shoutout to all our Learn-to-Swim swimmers who took part in their very first swimming competition today. Some were excited, some were nervous, some looked completely lost, and a few probably wondered why everyone was blowing whistles and making them line up! π
But every swimmer got up there, gave it a go, and finished their races. That's a huge win already.
To all our parents, thank you for supporting your children and giving them opportunities like this. Competitions aren't just about who touches the wall first. They're about learning how to handle nerves, how to keep trying when things don't go as planned, how to learn from mistakes, and how to come back stronger next time.
Today, some swimmers won medals. Some didn't.
But every swimmer gained something.
Maybe it was confidence.
Maybe it was experience.
Maybe it was learning what they need to work on.
Maybe it was simply making a new friend.
And honestly, that's what we love seeing most.
The best part of the morning wasn't the medals. It was seeing swimmers cheering for one another, smiling after their races, comparing medals with friends, and having fun together around the pool deck. β€οΈ
Lastly, a huge thank you to all our instructors and coaches who worked tirelessly throughout the morning. From organising events, marshalling swimmers, timing races, answering endless questions, and keeping everything running smoothly. Thank you for making today possible.
Well done everyone. Now enjoy the rest of the weekend... and we'll see you back at training and lesson! ππββοΈπββοΈ

Swim camp done! πββοΈπ₯
Really proud of this bunch over the past few days. They trained hard, had fun, made new friends, learned teamwork, and definitely made lots of noise everywhere they went π
But honestly, the nicest thing to see wasnβt even the improvement in swimming. It's seeing them slowly become more independent when parents werenβt around.
Some of the kids who are usually picky with food started eating things they normally donβt π Some fell down, got minor cuts and bruises, but not a single tear. They packed their own bags, kept their things tidy, showered by themselves, and took care of one another throughout the camp.
And yesβ¦ no phones throughout the camp π
Something quite nice actually happened. They started talking to one another more, hanging out together, making up random games, and actually finding things to do among themselves. The magic of no screens π΅β¨
Big thank you to all the parents as well for trusting us with your kids over the camp. We know itβs not easy leaving them for a few days, but honestly, all of them were really brave and did so well π
Now letβs all rest before training starts again π€£

πββοΈ MAS/MILO ALL-STARS SWIMMING CIRCUIT 2026
π Kota Kinabalu
Hornbill Swimmers came to KK with a very βlargeβ team ofβ¦ 3 swimmers only π
This meet was all about exposure, experience, and giving our swimmers their first chance to compete outside Sarawak πͺ
New pool, new environment, stronger competition, nervous moments, exciting racesβ¦ and of course lots of eating and shopping in between ππ
Really proud of the boys for stepping out of their comfort zone and giving their best throughout the weekend. These experiences are the ones that help swimmers grow stronger and more confident for the future.
Most importantly β we had fun, learned a lot, and came home with good memories.
It was also really great catching up with the Sabah coaches again and spending time together over the weekend. Always nice to reconnect through swimming!
Big thank you to the organizers and Sabah Aquatic Sports Association for putting together such a great meet and taking good care of everyone throughout the competition.
Now back to training ππββοΈ

Big congratulations to all our Hornbill Swimmers, especially our young ones who bravely stepped up onto the blocks to compete in the 6th Sarawak Sprint 2026 Short Course Swimming Competition last weekend.
We witnessed many personal bests, new friendships formed, and beautiful memories created.
In competition, medals and placings may shine for a moment, but the experience, the courage to race, the lessons learned, the inspiration gained, and the motivation built will last far longer. Trophies may sit on a shelf, but growth stays with you.
What truly matters is embracing the journey, trusting the process, showing up consistently, pushing through nerves, and becoming a little better each day. That is not just how champions are made, but how strong character is built in life.
A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing parents who supported and helped out throughout the weekend. Your teamwork and dedication mean everything to our swimmers.
Special appreciation to our most dedicated Team Manager, Mr Chia, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the entire competition ran smoothly for the team.
And thank you to the organisers and event team for creating such a wonderful platform that gives swimmers more opportunities to compete, experience, and enjoy the sport.
Kudos to everyone. Now letβs get back to work and prepare for the next meet. The journey continues πββοΈπ₯

π All the Best, Our Super Swimmers! π
We are incredibly proud of our swimmers with special abilities who are representing us at the 6th National Special Olympics Games in Bintulu ππββοΈπββοΈ
Your courage, determination, and fighting spirit inspire not just our team but the entire community. Every lap you swim is a victory. Every challenge you overcome is a milestone.
Swimming is more than just a sport. It builds confidence, discipline, coordination, strength, and most importantly belief. For children with special abilities, the pool becomes a place of growth, independence, and self-discovery.
Letβs continue to create an inclusive community where every child is given the opportunity to shine β¨ Every child deserves a chance. Every child deserves encouragement.
To our swimmers, go out there, enjoy the moment, and show everyone your heart. We are already so proud of you πͺπ
βHow long does it take for a child to learn to swim?β
The honest answer: every child is different.
We focus on building confidence firstβbecause when a child feels safe, learning follows.
And sometimes⦠everything just clicks.
Water safety is for everyone.
