Lively, energetic and packed with student flair!

The UNIMAS Co-Curricular Festival 2026 (FES’KOKU 2026), organised by the Centre for Student Development, brought together the talent, creativity and student spirit of UNIMAS through performances, competitions and showcases by students of the MPU Credit-Bearing Co-Curricular Courses for Semester 2, 2025/2026 Session.

From poetry recitation, ethnic dances of Sarawak, vocal performances and theatre to pencak silat and uniformed-body performances, the festival reflected the wide range of learning experiences offered through co-curricular activities at UNIMAS. The uniformed-body performances also brought forward themes of heroism, safety awareness and security consciousness as part of the day’s programme.

The Closing Ceremony of FES’KOKU 2026 was officiated by YBhg Profesor Dr. Ahmad Hata bin Rasit, Vice Chancellor of UNIMAS, at Dewan Banquet, DeTAR Putra UNIMAS.

The ceremony was also attended by YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Sulong Matjeraie, Chairman of the UNIMAS Board of Directors; YBhg Profesor Ir Ts Dr Al-Khalid bin Haji Othman, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), performing the function of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International); Dr Edris bin Aden, Director of the Centre for Student Development; and Saudara Muhammad Afifi Sulaimi bin Sulaiman, Director of FES’KOKU 2026.

Congratulations to all students, facilitators and committee members who made FES’KOKU 2026 a meaningful celebration of student potential, creativity and campus life.

A new chapter begins at UNIMAS East Campus as 1,112 new Pre-University students have completed their residential college registration for the 2026/2027 Session, as of today.

Our Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Ahmad Hata Rasit was on the ground to personally welcome students and their families, reflecting UNIMAS’ commitment to ensuring every new student feels supported, guided and welcomed from day one.

From residential colleges and student services to welfare initiatives and orientation programmes, every effort is in place to help students settle into campus life with confidence.
