➡️“1, 2, 3……” The children were busy inserting the pom-pom balls while counting with them. It strengthens fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, one-to-one correspondence, and number recognition for children.

➡️“5 is bigger!” said one of the boys. Differentiate between big and small numbers is challenging as it requires transitioning from visual, concrete understanding to abstract reasoning.

➡️Knowing that the same things can be made in different sizes and patterns helps the children to develop fundamental mathematical thinking, logical reasoning, and spatial awareness.

➡️Touch and feel the different textures to stimulate the senses (touch and sight). This helps children understand how the world feels and reacts, which is especially important in early brain development.

Children learn best when they are having fun, because every game, activity and exploration becomes an opportunity to learn and grow.

This is why in TK, we emphasise learn through play. Children develop problem-solving skills when children figure things out through hands-on activities. It also helps in build social skills such as sharing, teamwork, patience and empathy.

Different age group with different activities. All of the activities are designated to support their development milestone.

✔️Look for the ball labelled with alphabets whether with tools provided or just with their little hands.

✔️3D shapes matching activity with the real 3D shapes on hands.

✔️Poke in with ice-cream stick to the item as required by teacher.

✔️Counting the marker pens according to the selected number.

✔️Use the tongs to grip the pom-pom ball, then put it into the holes.

👶🏻: I am still a baby, but I can take care of another small baby. 😝

Can you guess how many activities are there in a day? Let me give you some hint.

🔴Find the hidden ribbons in the sensory bin.
🟠Match the things with its shadow.
🟡Pair the numbers accordingly.
🟢Put the same shapes together.
🔵Count and make a flower bouquet.
🟣Arrange the pictures following the ABAB pattern.

🟥To remove the necklace from the bottle might be east for an adult, but it is actually a great activity to train the logical thinking skill for a child.

🟧Sort the colour lego in two different colours is one of the ways to learn about colour as well as developing problem solving skill.

🟨3D shapes such as cube, cuboid and sphere are very common to find in our daily life. It is very important to know the name of the shapes to better describe something.

🟩Fine motor skill is also being improved when the children try to pick up the pom-pom balls from the ice cube maker. They have to pinch and grab the pom-pom balls with the strength of their fingers.

🟦Searching for the items requested by teachers from the “messy box” helps in building their self confidence and follow instructions. They always cheers for each other whenever their friends manage to look for the things as asked by the teachers.
