🌫️ 环保小卫士 | Little Air Protectors 🌱

Teachers turn real-life situations into meaningful learning experiences.
最近古晋烟霾问题越来越严重，老师也把孩子们每天都能感受到的生活现象带进课堂。
With the haze situation getting worse in Kuching, our teachers brought this real-life experience into the classroom.
对于4–6岁的孩子来说，“空气污染”和“烟霾”是比较抽象的概念。 因此，我们没有只是告诉孩子答案，而是让他们通过 观察、实验、讨论和动手创作，一步一步去发现和理解。
For young children aged 4–6, concepts like air pollution and haze can be difficult to understand. Instead of simply giving them the answers, we encouraged them to observe, experiment, discuss and create as they explored the topic.
💨 Air is everywhere. 空气就在我们身边。
我们从“空气”开始，让孩子知道：虽然空气看不见，但是我们每天都需要空气来呼吸。
We started by exploring air and learning that although we cannot see it, we need air every day to breathe.
🧪 看一看，烟雾会让空气发生什么变化？
Let’s observe what happens when smoke enters the air.
通过简单的小实验，孩子们亲眼观察烟雾进入透明容器后的变化，把原本抽象的“空气污染”变成一个可以看见、观察和讨论的学习经验。
Through a simple experiment, the children observed how smoke changed the air inside a transparent container, making the abstract idea of air pollution more visible and easier to understand.
😷 我们也一起讨论：
烟霾严重时，我们为什么需要减少户外活动？我们的身体可能会有什么感觉？我们又应该怎样保护自己？
We also talked about how haze may affect us, why we may need to reduce outdoor activities when the air quality is poor, and how we can protect ourselves.
🎨 My Clean Air 我的清新空气
最后，孩子们一起完成了大型 Group Project，把 Hazy Air 烟霾空气 和 Clean Air 清新空气 放在一起比较。
他们通过简单的剪贴和创作，把自己所理解的两种不同空气环境呈现出来。
The children then worked together on a large group art project, comparing Hazy Air and Clean Air through simple cutting, pasting and creating.
🌱 But the learning does not stop here.
但是，学习并不只是停留在“认识烟霾”。
我们希望孩子慢慢明白：
We want our children to understand that:
保护空气，不只是大人的责任。
Protecting our air is not only an adult’s responsibility.
虽然我们还是小朋友，也可以从小事做起：
Even as young children, we can all do our part:

🗑️ 不乱丢垃圾 | Do not litter
🌳 爱护树木和植物 | Take care of trees and plants
🧹 保持环境清洁 | Keep our environment clean
❤️ 保护自己，也关心别人 | Protect ourselves and care for others

让孩子亲眼看、亲手做、自己说、自己想。
Starting from real-life experiences,
we let children see, do, talk and think for themselves.
因为我们相信，幼儿教育不只是让孩子“知道什么”，
更重要的是让他们在生活中慢慢学会关心、保护和承担责任。
Because we believe early childhood education is not only about knowing, but also about learning to care, protect and take responsibility in everyday life.
