Established in 2009, Alexis DanceSport Studio offers Latin American (Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive) and Modern Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep and Viennese Waltz) dance lessons catering to all levels and ambitions. Currently led by its principal and co-owner Dr. Victor, who is also the current Vice President cm Chief Scrutineer of the Sarawak DanceSport Association and who has been instrumental in pushing forward the annual state DanceSport championships, the studio strives to promote DanceSport as a recreational activity and a competitive sport, with aims to develop local DanceSport talents and nurture competitive DanceSport athletes for Sarawak. The professional coaching team, headed its founder, coach and co-owner, Ms. Alexis, who is an ISTD Licentiate in both Latin American and Modern Ballroom genres, a current National and State Adjudicator, and a former national Dancesport athlete who ranked top in National Ranking for Latin Ballroom and Standard Ballroom combined with the experience of performing and competing internationally including Malaysia, China, South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, and United Kingdom, constantly produces top level DanceSport athletes. Its manager, coach and co-owner, Ms Ker Sing, who is an ISTD Associate in Modern Ballroom genre and ISTD Student Teacher in Latin American genre, and a current State Adjudicator, manages the dancers and leads the DanceSport programs designed as extra-curricular activities for primary schools around Kuching focusing on grassroots development, which have produced some winning performances in the dance competitions in the state. Alexis DanceSport Studio offers various dance lessons which caters for various occasions including competitions, professional examinations (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, ISTD), stage performances, weddings, social events, and fitness.
