The Borneo Alumni Journey Phase 1 continued with the Miri Γ— Brunei Darussalam Chapter, bringing UNIMAS alumni together to reconnect, exchange experiences and celebrate the journeys they have built since graduation.

UBS was delighted to be part of this meaningful gathering and to engage with our alumni through a sharing session on continuing education and lifelong learning.

It was truly inspiring to hear how our alumni have progressed in their respective careers and to see the knowledge, skills and experiences gained throughout their journey continue to shape their professional success.

Celebrating Connections, Inspiring Lifelong Learning β€” Bintulu Chapter.

Kembara Alumni Borneo Fasa 1, held in conjunction with the Alumni Back to Campus (AB2C) Festival 2026, brought together UNIMAS alumni in Bintulu for an evening of meaningful conversations, shared experiences and renewed connections.

It was a pleasure for UBS to be part of this gathering through a sharing session with our alumni.

A heartfelt thank you to the Seksyen Perhubungan Alumni, Pusat Pembangunan Pelajar (PPP), UNIMAS, and Alumni Networking Club (ANC) for the invitation and for creating this meaningful platform for alumni engagement.

One of the most rewarding moments was hearing about the journeys of our alumni from their university days to where they are today, building successful careers and contributing to their respective fields.

But the journey does not end with graduation. Lifelong learning continues. As industries evolve and professional demands grow, continuous learning and upskilling remain important in staying relevant, competitive and prepared for new opportunities.

Empowering SATT College Educators with Generative AI

The Professional Continuous Excellent Learning (ProCEL) of the Faculty of Education, Language and Communication (FELC), together with UNIMAS Business School, successfully conducted a two-day training programme titled Generative AI for Effective Teaching and Learning for instructors and staff of SATT College, Kuching, on 17 and 18 September 2026.

The programme was delivered by Dr Chuah Kee Man and facilitated by Mr Faidz Felani Majeri. Over two days, 15 participants explored how generative AI tools can be used to design lessons, develop learning materials and support assessment, while remaining mindful of academic integrity and responsible use. The sessions were highly practical. Participants built and tested AI-assisted resources for their own courses and left with ready-to-use strategies for the classroom. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

UNIMAS Business School (UBS) is pleased to formalize its collaboration with MOCA Resources Sdn Bhd through the exchange of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at Staff Lounge, Rumah Universiti, UNIMAS. This partnership marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration in professional development, competency building and lifelong learning, particularly in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental (OSHE) training.

The ceremony was officiated by YBhg Professor Dr. Ahmad Hata bin Rasit, Vice Chancellor of UNIMAS, with the Directors and Faculty Deans, UBS Board of Directors, UNIMAS Professional and Executive Programmes Committee, Faculty and Institute ProCEL Coordinators, and UBS team in attendance. Representing MOCA Resources Sdn Bhd was Dr Hj Ahmad Fauzi bin Abdul Samad, Managing Director, together with his dedicated team.
