Dear Students,

Please be informed that Teaching and Learning (T&L) activities will continue as scheduled, but classes will be conducted online for the time being due to the current haze situation in Sarawak.

Students are advised to attend the online classes according to the approved timetable and follow the instructions provided by your respective lecturers.

Please continue to monitor the official announcements and your lecturers’ updates, as further instructions regarding the mode of T&L will be communicated accordingly based on the prevailing haze conditions.

For your safety and well-being, please minimise unnecessary outdoor activities and follow the precautionary measures advised by the relevant authorities.

DAY 2 RECAP ✨

Day 2 of the Workshop on Programme Development for Foundation in Technology featured sharing sessions by the working groups, followed by constructive feedback and meaningful discussions.

The valuable insights and recommendations gathered will support the refinement of the programme structure, curriculum and learning outcomes, bringing us closer to developing a relevant and future-ready Foundation in Technology programme.

DAY 1 RECAP ✨

5–6 August 2026 – The Centre for Foundation & Preparatory Studies (CENFES), i-CATS University College, organised the Workshop on Programme Development for Foundation in Technology (FIT) at Raia Hotel & Convention Centre. The workshop aimed to develop a new programme by integrating the strengths of the Foundation in Science (FIS) and Foundation in Management (FIM).

The workshop focused on curriculum development, programme structure and learning outcomes to ensure alignment with academic standards and industry needs.

Special thanks to Professor Emeritus Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohamad Kadim Suaidi and Professor Dato’ Dr. Shazali Abu Mansor for taking the time to join us and share their valuable insights.

Also, our sincere appreciation goes to the entire CENFES team, lecturers and faculty representatives for their commitment, collaboration and valuable contributions.

May these collective efforts lay a strong foundation for a high-quality and relevant programme.

Selamat Menyambut Ulang Tahun Kelahiran Ke-76 kepada YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier Sarawak merangkap Canselor i-CATS.
