The Story we tell is the life we live.
Recently, Amma was asked a profound question: "Everything in God’s creation is beautiful except human beings... why is it that human beings alone are killing each other and following the path of self destruction?" Amma began her reply with an anecdote. “Once, two people visited a rose garden. The first person was lost in the thoughts of his girlfriend. ‘How nice will it be if I offer this flower to her? How happy will she become?’ The second person felt upset upon seeing the roses. He thought, ‘How many such flowers have I offered to my girlfriend? And still she eloped with somebody else!’ He plucked the rose and trampled it under his feet.” Amma continued, “The flowers were the same, but they gave two different experiences to two different people. That was due to the difference in their mindset. Likewise, in God’s creation, there is perfect harmony and it is the human mind that brings disharmony. It is the selfishness of human beings that has affected the harmony of the world.
“A knife can be used to stab a person, or by a doctor to save another person. Fire can be used to either burn down a house or to cook food. It depends on how we use it. Instead of blaming God for the problems that humanity encounters, let us strive and rectify our mistakes. Let us not hurl verbal abuses on our father (God). Instead of blaming, let us do whatever is possible for us to help someone. Seeing your selfless actions, your friend might feel inspired to perform selfless actions as well. I was asked, why meditate?
First of all, meditation has nothing to do with any religion.
Meditation is not necessarily chanting any mantras.
Meditation is about being focused on a point of concentration,
and while doing so on a regular basis,
You will achieve Serenity and Stillness,
At that time, you are with Source, your higher Self.

3 months ago I chance into meeting a Lovely young lady,
She was bald to the skin as she participated in the Go Bald campaign
Not knowing her background, we chat about charity and helping the needy.
Several days later I learned of her story.
On Jan 1st this year, her husband was killed in a tragic car accident
They were only married for 3 months.
Her whole world collapsed and she went through heart wrenching suffering,
She told me that she considered joining him during that one month of suffering,
Somehow with God's grace, she found the meaning to all these sufferings,
She realized that there is a calling from this tragedy
She picked herself up, went back to her business and joined a group to helping unfortunate children in the hospital, took up Bible Study and live life Strongly.
She is one of those people who are able to find meaning in their suffering,
She was able to turn her personal tragedy into personal fulfillment.
As I see her now, she is a strong happy lady ever smiling,
doing God's work with all her heart and passion.
She cherish her past, doing God's work Now for a better Future for all.
