One of the most satisfying moments of becoming a sports therapist
We often see the training side of the athletes but how about their recovery? A client of mine has been coming in weekly for recovery sessions before her 5th Taijiquan World Championship. In between all her intense trainings, I focused on helping her body recover, relief her muscle stiffness, stay balanced so that she can keep going her training sessions.
Last week, she came back for her post-competition recovery session and shared this meaningful achievement with me. This reminded me of the reason and passion of being a sports therapist continuously.
Itโs about helping someone show up at their best when it matters.

If starting feels hard, thatโs normal.
Many people think they need to be fitter before joining a class.
But progress begins the moment you take the first step.๐น
"I feel my leg strength is better when climbing staircase." ; "My shoulder is more relax after the workout session." ; "I am able to walk longer during my travelling." ; "I feel less back pain and better sleeping."
These are the kind of lovely feedbacks we received from our students, they may sound like small, everyday improvements - but feeling stronger in daily life is progress too. ๐ค

Sometimes people ask why we donโt do many fancy or complicated movements.
Yeahh, the reason is simple.
Complex movements may look impressive and wowww, but they donโt always help the body learn better. In many cases, mastering the basics first builds a much stronger and safer foundation.
When movements are simple, you can focus on control, stability and proper technique that reduce risk of injury. Once the body understands the movement well, we can gradually add load, repetitions, intensity or tempo - and here is known as progression. Yess, progress is built through repetition. Hope you enjoy it ๐คช

Over time, we have received more and more feedback from our students - sharing how consistent workouts have helped improve their daily living, whether during travel, gardening or everyday activities.

Throwback to last week, we had the honour of conducting community health screening and diet consultation during the Liansin Blood Donation Event โ and yes, this marks our second year being invited.
What truly touched us in this second year - meeting familiar faces who have been quietly following us for a long time. Some came forward to share how a simple, quick screening and diet advice from previous year had helped them improve their health over time. This reminded us that health education doesnโt always need to be complicated. Sometimes, one conversation is enough to spark awareness, action and long-term change.
