A purposeful day out for the 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞. 𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐠. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭. 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 in Sepang, Selangor.

From kayaking through Sepang Besar river and collecting waste along the beach shores, to planting mangrove saplings, the programme highlighted the importance of mother nature and reinforced our drive towards creating a more sustainable ecosystem.

As an ESG-driven CSR initiative focused on environmental awareness, conservation, and community engagement, we are grateful to all participants, volunteers, collaborators and especially the organizing committee for making this event a meaningful success. 🌿🚣‍♀️

💧𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 💧

Chemsain is proud to support the 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 in Sarawak as the contractor and plant operator for the project.

We were honoured to receive a site visit by YB Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak, who highlighted the importance of the project in strengthening and stabilising water supply for Sebangan, Sebuyau, and the surrounding areas. Also present were senior representatives from the Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication, Samarahan Resident Office, Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department and Sarawak Water.

The project will increase the plant’s treatment capacity from 0.9 MLD to 5 MLD (million litres per day), alongside the construction of an 11 km pipeline — representing more than a five-fold increase in treatment and distribution capacity. At full capacity, the upgraded system could theoretically support the daily treated water needs of over 25,000 residents, strengthening long-term water reliability and resilience in the region.

Chemsain is proud to have been entrusted by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Sarawak to deliver the 𝟑-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐒𝐇 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 under the Program Latihan Penyelaras Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan Sarawak 2026.

The event was officiated by YBrs. Tuan Bahrudin Bin Mamat, Deputy Director General (Occupational Safety) of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia at the Chemsain Building. Also present were Tuan Jamadi Bin Yusup, Director of DOSH Sarawak; Dr. John Chan, Executive Director of Chemsain Konsultant Sdn Bhd, Ir. Haji Arahman Bin Haji Jamel, Deputy Director of DOSH Sarawak; and Mr. Prasad Spor Maoiman, Section Head of Enforcement and SME, DOSH Sarawak.
