Exploring Engineering Futures at Career Vibe 2026, SM Teknik Sejingkat✨

iCATS University College joined the Career Vibe 2026 Carnival at SM Teknik Sejingkat on 9 May 2026, held at Dewan Integrasi, showcasing academic pathways and opportunities in engineering and technology.

Representing i-GAIN, Miss Fauzurana Arisha was present together with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) team to engage with students and introduce them to iCATS programmes and future study options.

The event was made even more exciting with hands-on demo sessions by FET, allowing students to actively participate and experience real engineering applications in a fun and interactive way.

Empowering SPM Students & Parents at SMK Lingga, Sri Aman

On 8 May 2026, iCATS University College recently conducted a briefing about Free Tertiary Education Scheme (FTES) and programmes offered by iCATS with parents and students who will be sitting for SPM this year, together with a Career Exhibition session.

Through this session, parents also had the opportunity to engage directly with our representatives from iGAIN, Mr. Royston Brauk and Mr. John Bernard, to better understand how iCATS supports students in planning their higher education journey.

PREMIER SARAWAK RASMIKAN SAMBUTAN HARI PEKERJA 2026 PERINGKAT SARAWAK

YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg telah merasmikan Sambutan Hari Pekerja 2026 Peringkat Sarawak dalam suasana penuh penghargaan terhadap peranan golongan pekerja sebagai pemacu pembangunan dan kemajuan negeri.

iCATS University College turut berbesar hati menjadi sebahagian daripada sambutan berprestij ini. Sempena majlis tersebut, Naib Canselor iCATS, Professor Emeritus Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohamad Kadim Suaidi telah menyampaikan cenderahati kepada YAB Premier Sarawak sebagai tanda penghargaan dan kenang-kenangan.

Course Code Standardization Training organised by the Curriculum Development and Management Centre (CDMC) is currently taking place on 7 May 2026 at Mulu 5–6, Raia Hotel & Convention Centre Kuching.

The programme began with welcoming remarks by Professor Ts. Dr. Hamimah, Director of Academic Quality Assurance (AQAD) Office, who also addressed several key issues and considerations related to course code standardisation practices across faculties and academic centres.

The training session is conducted by Dr. Aliff Ridzuan Bin Bunawan as part of the University’s continuous effort to strengthen academic governance and enhance consistency in course coding practices at i-CATS University College.

i-CATS Digital Business School, in collaboration with its strategic partner Emeritus Institute of Management Pte. Ltd., recently engaged with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad to explore the offering of an MBA programme with pathways to top-tier global business school certifications.

The session was hosted by Puan Nadiah Tan Abdullah, Chief Human Capital Officer of MAHB, with i-CATS represented by our Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato' Dr Shazali Abu Mansor.

The engagement continued with a follow-up meeting at the Malaysian Aviation Academy, focusing on finalising the MOA and Executive Education webpage, alongside a tour of the academy’s training facilities.

Our Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr Shazali Abu Mansor, was featured in a news article discussing the importance of controlling operational expenditure leakage.

In the article, he shared his views on the need to address inefficiencies, particularly in key sectors such as healthcare and higher education, to ensure resources are utilised effectively and deliver meaningful impact.

A timely reminder on the importance of governance, accountability, and smarter spending in strengthening institutional and national resilience.

From Pontianak to Sintang, iCATS University College continues to expand its regional engagement 🌍

From 27 to 30 April 2026, a series of school visits and cookery workshops were conducted across West Kalimantan covering Pontianak, Sanggau, Sekadau and Sintang in collaboration with e COLINK International Education Consultant.

Representatives from iCATS, including the iGAIN unit and the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, engaged directly with students through programme briefings, sharing sessions on international study pathways and interactive culinary demonstrations.

The initiative provided valuable exposure for students exploring opportunities to pursue higher education abroad while also strengthening cross border collaboration between institutions.
