Bringing real-world experiences to the classroom, such as the recent community service at Kuching Autistic Association, brought excitement and enrichment to the learning experience that developed the students' social skills.
Participating in community service is not only about fulfilling academic requirements but also contributing to simulating each individual's civic mindfulness to be respectful to people from all walks of life, especially those with special needs, e.g., autism. Empathy acts as a bridge that fosters open communication and trust while encouraging social-emotional learning, building a sense of security and relationship with others while encouraging tolerance and acceptance of others. Empathy will build healthy mental health.
