Since we opened our doors, our students have shared so many beautiful reasons for wanting to learn music.

Some dream of playing lullabies for their babies. Some hope to bring comfort to patients in hospitals. Some want to compose their own songs. Some are finally fulfilling a childhood dream of playing the piano. Some learn music to inspire their writing, while others want their children to build character, discipline and confidence through music.

The list goes on and on…

Every journey is unique. Every purpose is meaningful.

We believe music goes far beyond the instrument itself. It becomes a way to express love, bring joy, inspire creativity, connect with others and fulfil lifelong dreams.

To all our students and families, thank you for letting us be a small part of your story. Your reasons for learning music continue to inspire us every day. ❤️🎵

What inspired the creation of Yuzu? 🍋

Our founder has been passionate about teaching since he was just 17 years old. Today, he shares the story behind starting Yuzu in Kuching and his advice for adults who want to begin learning from scratch.

We host monthly jam sessions at Yuzu Music because music should be shared, felt, and enjoyed by everyone. It’s a universal language, after all. 💛

Playing in a classroom is one thing. But playing with people? That’s a whole different experience. You learn to listen, react, catch the groove, and most importantly, to connect.

Yuzu Jam is where our students get to practice that, live. Don’t worry if you’re not sure how, our teachers are right there on stage with you. 💪
