Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence and Integrity

The Kulliyyah of Pharmacy officially marked a historic milestone with its 25th Anniversary Celebration, held from 15th to 17th May 2026. The three-day event was a resounding success, bringing together over 5,000 participants, including distinguished guests, alumni, students, staff, former staff, strategic partners and collaborators.

Anchored by the theme “Formulating the Future: 25 Years of Innovation and Integrity Towards Islamic Excellence,” the celebration reflected the Kulliyyah’s unwavering commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education, research, and holistic development over the past quarter-century.

Held at the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy Auditorium, the Grand Opening Ceremony served as the ultimate highlight of the event. Officiating on behalf of YAB Menteri Besar Pahang was YB Dato’ Sri Ir. Haji Mohd. Soffi bin Tan Sri Abd. Razak, Chairman of the Pahang State Agricultural, Agro-based Industry, Biotechnology, and Education Committee. The ceremony also featured the unveiling of the official inauguration plaque, a proud testament to the Kulliyyah's 25-year milestone and achievements.

This grand event was also attended by a distinguished lineup of guests and delegates, including:
• Prof. Dr. Mohamed Aslam bin Mohamed Haneef, Deputy Rector (Research, Innovation, and Development), representing the Rector of IIUM.
• YH Dato’ Mohd Faizal bin Jaafar, Kuantan District Officer.
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Ilyani binti Mohamed Nazar, Dean of the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy.

A celebration of this magnitude would not have been possible without the invaluable support of the state government, government bodies, alongside our industry and strategic partners. On 18th May 2026, the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy (KOP), IIUM successfully conducted the KOP Research Talk Series: Paper Writing in Journal Q1/Q2 at the KOP Main Meeting Room.

The session served as a valuable platform for academic enrichment, offering participants meaningful exposure and practical insights into academic writing and publication in reputable Q1 and Q2 journals. Through the sharing of experiences, tips, and best practices, participants gained deeper understanding on strategies to enhance the quality and impact of scholarly publications.
