The recent Sep’26 I-LIFT School Holiday Bread Doughnut Workshop was a great success Alhamdulillah; engaging children aged 4 to 12 in a hands-on, multi-sensory culinary experience.

The activity was designed to blend culinary creativity with fine motor skill development, allowing children to explore the baking process from scratch and the element of Islamic teaching about halal and good food.

Every child has successfully created and decorated at least two custom bread doughnuts to take home. The workshop also encouraged teamwork and sharing, especially during the decorating phase where older children naturally assisted the younger participants. Mubarak a’laikum and good job, kids!

Participating kids of Sep’26 I-LIFT School Holiday Programme had the ultimate hands-on experience with the Robotic Hand project during Creative Workshop activity, Alhamdulillah!

This high-energy, interactive activity transforms simple household items like cardboard, straws, and string into a fully functioning robotic hand. It is the perfect mix of arts, crafts, and basic mechanical engineering that keeps young minds engaged for hours.

We are grateful that the kids enjoyed the activity very much as they didn't just build it but they wore it! Watch their faces lighted up as they pulled the strings and make the paper fingers mimic their own hand movements. Job well done, kids!

Parents of I-LIFT students had the chance to discuss their children's progress and achievement for the half year with teachers and management of I-LIFT, not only on the aspect of learning and cognitive; but also including spiritual, behavioural, social, emotional, communication and personality development too.

BULAN SUCI MUHARRAM

Dalan Surah At-Taubah ayat 36 Allah s.w.t berfirman:

إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًۭا فِى كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَـٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةًۭ كَمَا يُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمْ كَآفَّةًۭ ۚ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

“Sesungguhnya bilangan bulan pada sisi Allah ialah dua belas bulan, dalam ketetapan Allah di waktu Dia menciptakan langit dan bumi, di antaranya empat bulan haram. Itulah (ketetapan) agama yang lurus, maka janganlah kamu menganiaya diri kamu dalam bulan yang empat itu, dan perangilah kaum musyrikin itu semuanya sebagaimana mereka pun memerangi kamu semuanya; dan ketahuilah bahawasanya Allah beserta orang-orang yang bertakwa.” (At-Taubah, 9 : 36)

Pada bulan Muharram, puasa menjadi ibadah yang menempati urutan tertinggi yang dapat dilakukan.

Seperti sabda Rasulullah s.a.w:

أَفْضَلُ الصِّيَامِ بَعْدَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ صِيَامُ شَهْرِ اللَّهِ الْمُحَرَّمِ

“Puasa yang paling utama setelah (puasa) di bulan Ramadhan adalah puasa di bulan Allah: Muharram.” (Hadis Riwayat Muslim)

Ayuh kita hayati tentang ibadah puasa di bulan Muharram!

Marilah kita sama-sama mengingatkan antara satu sama lain tentang hari-hari yang paling mulia dalam setahun iaitu sepuluh hari pertama bulan Zulhijjah.

Pada hari-hari ini Allah swt memberkati hambaNya yang mengambil peluang untuk melipatgandakan pahala mereka melalui rahmatNya yang tidak terhingga.
