August 1997:

The IIUM Library Kuantan was first established in Jalan Hospital Campus, as a branch of the IIUM Library, Gombak network. June 2003:

Another branch in Indera Mahkota Campus started operating as the main library for Kuantan Campus located at Kulliyyah of Medicine building; serving to Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, Kulliyyah of Dentistry, Kulliyyah of Allied Health Scien

ces, Kulliyyah of Science and basic medical sciences students for Kulliyyah of Medicine while the library in Jalan Hospital remained to serve clinical students of the Kulliyyah of Medicine, Kulliyyah of Nursing and IIUM Breast Centre. July 2011:

The library moved to new library building in Indera Mahkota Campus.

1st January 2013:

All library services and facilities have moved to Indera Mahkota Campus and library space at Jalan Hospital has been given to Kulliyyah of Medicine as 24 hours reading area.

MQA Accreditation Visit | Bachelor of Nursing (Honours)

Dar al-Hikmah Library Kuantan was pleased to welcome the MQA auditors as part of the Accreditation Visit for the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) Programme on Thursday, 20 August 2026.

During their visit, the auditors were introduced to our Library Client Attendance Dashboard and accompanied by our Liaison Librarian, Sr. Amirah Hafit, to view the library collections requested by the audit panel.

We sincerely appreciate the valuable suggestions and encouraging compliments shared by the auditors. Your feedback motivates us to continuously enhance our collections and services in supporting teaching, learning, and academic excellence.

DaHLK Roll Call No. 3/2026 | Reflect, Refresh & Move Forward

A meaningful session to reconnect, realign, and prepare for what lies ahead.

During our recent Roll Call, our Head of Library, Madam Rosyidah Taju Rahim, highlighted several important matters, including staff attendance, CTD points, and upcoming projects planned for the second phase of 2026.

The session also included a helpful refresher on customer service, with practical reminders on how we can better communicate with, assist, and serve our library clients.

More than just an update, the Roll Call provided a valuable opportunity for us to reflect on our roles, refresh our practices, and remind one another to continue improving the way we work and serve.

MQA Full Accreditation Audit Visit | Master of Endodontology

Dar al-Hikmah Library Kuantan was pleased to welcome the MQA Full Accreditation Audit Panel for the Master of Endodontology Programme today, Monday, 17 August 2026.

The panel was welcomed and briefed by Sr Nurusy Syahidah Binti Shamsudin, Liaison Librarian for the Kulliyyah of Dentistry (KOD), on the library’s resources and services supporting the programme.

The visit also included a tour of Level 2, where the panel had the opportunity to view the relevant book collections and resources available to support teaching, learning, and research in the field.
