The Department of Islamic Revealed Knowledge is proud to highlight a significant academic milestone from our department.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Ustazah Siti Nursadrina, Ustazah Fathiyyatunnur, Ustazah Nur 'Adila, Ustazah Salina, and Ustazah Wan Nurul Afiqah Akmal on the successful publication of their timely research article, "Engaging Artificial Intelligence: Religious Ethical Guidelines From Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism".

As AI continues to shape our world, this crucial comparative study provides much-needed ethical perspectives. You can read their excellent work in the latest issue of Revelation and Science, Volume 16 No. 1 (2026).

The Department of Islamic Revealed Knowledge successfully held its departmental meeting and retreat from June 23–26, 2026, in preparation for Semester 1, which will commence on June 29, 2026.

Furthermore, the Research and Innovation Unit (RIU), in partnership with the Training Unit, successfully facilitated a workshop on June 23, 2026, focusing on pathways in research, innovation, publication, and conferences.

For Semester 1 of the 2026–2027 academic session, the Department will offer the following courses: Understanding Islam 1 (RKFF 0413 – English & Arabic), Understanding Islam 2 (RKFF 0423 – English & Arabic), Madkhal ilā al-ʿAqīdah al-Islāmiyyah (RKFF 0414), Madkhal ilā al-Qurʾān wa al-Sunnah (RKFF 0424), Madkhal ilā al-Fiqh wa Uṣūlihi (RKFF 0434), Madkhal ilā Maʿārif al-Waḥy wa al-Turāth al-Islāmī (AISF 0434), and Al-Naḥw wa al-Ṣarf (0314).

Congratulations to Ustazah Fathiyyatunnur, Ustazah Siti Nursadrina, and Ustazah Wan Nurul Afiqah Akmal on the successful publication of their research article, "Fitnah, Slander and AI: An Islamic Perspective on Truth in the Digital Age".

This crucial work, which addresses modern technological challenges through an Islamic lens, has been published in the Proceedings of the Akidah, Falsafah Pemikiran, dan Kecerdasan Buatan (AI): Wacana Kontemporari Dalam Pengajian Usuluddin. We highly commend their dedication to contemporary discourse in Usuluddin.

The end-of-semester examination for the common core course, Madkhal ilā Maʿārif al-Waḥy wa al-Turāth al-Islāmī (AISF 0434), was taken by 528 students from the Arabic and Islamic Studies (AIS) module [IRK - BAR - ARCOM] on June 8, 2026. The Department extends its gratitude to all the invigilators involved.

On 6 June 2025, an incredible 3,752 students from the Centre for Foundation Studies successfully completed their centralised end-of-semester exams for Understanding Islam 1 (RKFF 0413) and Understanding Islam 2 (RKFF 0423).
