【眚目有光—最终篇】

经过了一系列的活动及企划，本届新纪元大学学院媒体研究系五月份公关实务课【眚】团队，将所筹获的款项捐赠予马来西亚盲人基金会（YAYASAN），总计RM2618.26。

在场，我们也给予基金会以及视障群体真诚的祝福，愿社会大众能够更为理解视障群体的处境，以同理取代怜悯，让社会迈向更友善、公正的道路。

这笔款项捐赠，也意味着【眚】团队圆满落幕。再一次，我们真挚感谢所有支持本团队的赞助商、公众人士。你们各方面的支持，才得以让【眚】顺利举行，并以实际行动帮助弱势群体，知行合一。

人间温暖，你我共勉。

After a series of activities and initiatives, the team from the May Public Relations Campaign Planning course, “Shěng”, of the Department of Media Studies at New Era University College, has donated the funds raised—amounting to RM2618.26 to the Malaysian Blind Foundation (Yayasan).

At the moment of the donation ceremony, we also extended our sincere blessings to the foundation and the visually impaired community, hoping that society can better understand their situation, replacing pity with empathy, and moving toward a kinder and more just society.

This donation also marks the successful conclusion of the team’s efforts. Once again, we sincerely thank all the sponsors and members of the public who supported our team. It is through your support in various aspects that our team was able to be
held the event smoothly and take concrete actions to help the disadvantaged, embodying the unity of knowledge and action.

While facing inequality, let’s begin with humanities.

雪隆海南会馆，亦称为天后宫，创建于1889年，历史超过130年。现有的天后宫于1989年启用，是吉隆坡地区重要的中华文化旅游胜地，融合妈祖民俗文化、佛教、道教及儒家思想。

天后宫定期举办与妈祖文化、佛教和道教相关的活动，包括神诞、春节和卫塞节等传统节庆，吸引众多香客和游客前来参与。此外，这里还设有婚姻注册处，每年吸引许多新人在此注册，并举行集体婚礼，成为当地婚庆的一大特色。

We sincerely thank The Selangor & Federal Territory Hainan Association for their strong support of the 【Shěng】Exhibition on Visual Impairment. Your assistance not only provided us with essential resources but also facilitated the smooth running of the exhibition. We are grateful for your willingness to lend a helping hand, enhancing societal understanding and awareness of the needs of visually impaired individuals and bringing warmth from all corners of society to them.

The Selangor & Federal Territory Hainan Association, also known as the Thean Hou Temple Malaysia, was established in 1889 and has a history of over 130 years. The current Thean Hou Temple was inaugurated in 1989 and is an important cultural tourism destination in Kuala Lumpur, blending Mazu folk culture, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucian thought.

The Thean Hou Temple regularly hosts activities related to Mazu culture, Buddhism, and Taoism, including traditional festivals such as the Chinese New Year, and Wesak, attracting numerous visitors. Additionally, it features a marriage registration office, drawing many couples each year who register and participate in collective weddings, making it a significant aspect of local wedding celebrations.

感谢无拉港州议员YB王俊伟团队亲临新纪元大学学院，移交赞助支票给本校媒体研究系五月份公关实务课【眚】团队，并由新纪元大学学院校长莫顺宗教授、媒体传播与影视演艺学院院长廖朝骥助理教授、媒体研究系主任潘致情以及媒体研究系公关实务课指导老师周兆鸿一同见证。

YB王俊伟除了高度赞赏【眚】的展览内容，这场展览不仅让更多人了解视觉障碍人士的独特经历与创作，还促进并带动了公众对这一议题的关注与讨论。此外，双方也在学术合作、学生活动及社会贡献上进行了深度的交流。

为此，我们再次诚心感谢YB王俊伟对新纪元媒体系公关实务课的鼎力支持，也非常感谢活动当天YB及其团队拨冗出席开幕仪式及音乐会环节。期待未来能够有更多的双边计划，共创更多具有社会意义的合作项目！

Thank you to YB Wayne Ong Chun Wei, the state assemblyman (ADUN) of Balakong, and his team for visiting our NEUC Campus and presenting a sponsorship cheque to the ”Sheng“ team from the May PRCP course of the Dept. of Media Studies. The handover was witnessed by the Vice-Chancellor of New Era University College, Professor Dr. Mok Soon Chong, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Cinematic and Performing Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Joe Liaw, as well as Ms. P**n Chee Chin, Head of the Media Studies Department, and Mr. Chew Zhao Hong, the lecturer cm advisor of the Public Relations Campaign Planning course.

YB Wayne Ong not only highly praised the content of the ”Sheng“ exhibition, which provided deeper insights into the unique experiences and creations of visually impaired individuals, but also promoted public attention and discussion on this issue. In addition, both sides engaged in extensive exchanges on academic cooperation, student activities, and social contributions.

Once again, we sincerely thank YB Wayne Ong for his tremendous support for us. We are also deeply grateful to YB and his team for attending the opening ceremony and concert. We look forward to more bilateral initiatives in the future and the creation of more socially meaningful collaborative projects!

The Malaysian Foundation for the Blind (MFB), also known as “Yayasan Orang Buta Malaysia,” is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with visual impairments that was established in 1988. MFB focuses on providing comprehensive support, including education, vocational training, life skills guidance, and psychological counselling.

MFB’s mission is to help people with visual impairments overcome life’s challenges and achieve independence and self-worth by offering essential resources and services. Through various projects and activities, MFB aims to raise societal awareness about visual impairment issues, promote the development of an inclusive society, and advocate for the rights and equal opportunities of individuals with visual impairments.
