INSTEP was honoured to welcome Dato’ Seri TPr (Dr.) Maimunah Mohd Sharif for a campus visit on 17 August 2026, accompanied by Datuk Sr Mohd Salem bin Kailany, Chief Executive Officer of KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd, together with the KLCC delegation. 🤝

The visit kicked off with a gallery walk through the INSTEP Hall of Fame, followed by an insightful briefing by the INSTEP team. The delegation then explored the campus and visited the INSTEP Upstream Downstream Training Plant (UDTP) 🏭, getting a closer look at INSTEP’s facilities and technical training capabilities.

The visit offered a valuable opportunity for the delegation to gain a deeper understanding of PETRONAS’ asset and property functions, as well as INSTEP’s role as a technical training centre supporting PETRONAS and the wider energy industry.

With a strong commitment to developing future-ready technical talent, INSTEP has upskilled more than 191,000 technical talents to date, contributing to a more capable and future-ready energy workforce.

SINERGI@INSTEP 2026 successfully brought together industry partners and INSTEP community through a dynamic engagement platform featuring 14 exhibitors, including PDRM, PROTON, PERODUA, UTP, CIMB and many more. The programme provided participants with valuable insights and access to a wide range of services and initiatives designed to empower personal and professional growth.

🛡️💡 Participants were also privileged to gain valuable knowledge from Insp. Eran Mustapha, who delivered a remarkable session titled “SCAM: Scammer Dah Kenal De... Deme Kenal Awok Dier?”. The session highlighted the latest scam tactics and emphasised the importance of staying vigilant in today’s digital landscape, equipping attendees with practical tips to protect themselves and their communities.

🎙️🌐 Adding to the enriching experience, Amin Idris captivated the audience with his thought provoking sharing session, “Media Sosial: Mesin Manipulasi Minda”. The talk encouraged participants to become more aware of the influence of social media, fostering critical thinking and responsible digital engagement in an increasingly connected world.

♻️🌱 The programme concluded with the Closing Ceremony of the E-Waste Educator Empowerment (3E) Programme, marking another meaningful milestone in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices, a collaboration programme with Petrosains.

✨ That’s a wrap! 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀, 𝗧𝗲𝗸𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶, 𝗜𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗶 & 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘂 (𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠-𝗧) at Pusat Sains & Kreativiti Terengganu has officially come to an end! 🎉

What an incredible celebration of curiosity, creativity, innovation and the joy of discovery! From immersive exhibitions to exciting hands-on activities, Festival STEM-T 2026 brought science and technology to life turning complex ideas into moments of wonder, exploration and laughter. 🔬🚀🧪

For INSTEP, the festival was more than just showcasing technical expertise. It was an opportunity to inspire the next generation of Terengganu talents by creating greater awareness and exposure to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Through meaningful engagement and interactive experiences, we hope to spark curiosity about technical skills, future careers and the opportunities available in the energy and technology industry. ⚙️👷‍♀️👨‍🔧

🚀 Bringing STEM Beyond the Classroom! 🔬✨

INSTEP and Petrosains recently brought the Discovery Rovers to Terengganu for its first-ever edition in the state, at SMK Batu Rakit! 🎉

As Petrosains’ mobile STEM outreach programme, Discovery Rovers brings hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) experiences directly to schools and rural communities across Malaysia, making learning fun, interactive and accessible.

From Giant Tangram and Makey Makey to Sci Pop and Colour Sequence, students got to explore, experiment and learn through exciting hands-on activities. 🧩⚡

At INSTEP and Petrosains, we believe that every student deserves equal access to meaningful learning opportunities — and learning doesn’t have to stop at the classroom door! 🌟

Together, we’re making STEM more accessible, more engaging and more fun.

☀️🔬 STEM in Action, Learning Made Fun! 🚀

INSTEP was excited to be part of the Future STEM Carnival Terengganu State Level on 28 July 2026 at SK Gong Badak, engaging 350+ Standard 5 & 6 students in a fun and hands-on DIY Solar Kit Assembly activity.

The students discovered how solar panels can convert sunlight into electricity and put their knowledge into action by building kits that bring their creations to life! 🌞⚡

Meanwhile, our younger STEM enthusiasts from Standard 2 & 3 enjoyed an exciting science show by Pusat Sains & Kreativiti Terengganu (PSKT). 🧪✨

From curiosity to creativity, it was a day full of learning, discovery and lots of fun! 💡

Human Performance Matters. Safety Starts With Us. 🤝⛑️

INSTEP brought together more than 300 Third-Party Service Providers (TPSPs) for HPI Awareness Day, supporting PETRONAS Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM) in strengthening HSE culture across PACs and TPSPs through greater awareness of human factors and error prevention.

With the theme “Human Performance Matters: Together Partnering for Safe Performance,” participants connected, shared experiences and best practices, and explored practical ways to apply HPI principles for safer, more reliable and sustainable operations.

Together, let’s build a stronger safety culture and work towards safer performance, every day, every operation. 💪
